Higgins + Richardson + Hansen + Markstrom

Wheeler + Tangradi

WPG gets secondary scoring and a goalie who could push for the starting job.

VAN gets 'meat and potatoes' that Benning wanted with Wheeler as a top six RW. Also a depth forward and some space for the rookies to push for a spot.

So a decent 2nd/3rd liner, a prospect, a free agent signing and a controversial young goalie you just got

In exchange for

A 35+ goal scorer this year who is 6'5, plus a 3rd line checking forward with power forward potential

Quality over quantity factor yet again

Swap Markstrom with Lack and add a decent prospect from the jets side

Let’s compare last year’s stats for Winnipeg and Vancouver’s top wingers. Wheeler .84 points per game, +4, 18:41 time on ice vs D. Sedin .64 points per game, 0, 20:36 time on ice. Beyond the stats, Wheeler has great chemistry with Scheifele. No way Winnipeg even considers this proposal.

And please, stop offering your backups and prospects in exchange for an impact player. Yes the Jets have goaltending issues, but the only way Winnipeg trades for a goalie is if he’s a legit #1 (and you probably have to take Pavelec in return). If he can’t start for your team then the Jets aren't interested. They already have excellent prospects, they just aren't ready yet.

We're not trading Wheeler, but keep dreaming! We're certainly not trading him for table scraps!?! Not NHl14 boys, 3xD level players do not get you an A level player!
