Not too sure on Richards value with the concussions or that contract but I think this is the most likely deal(+-on value of course)the leafs make/if they do for a 2center this year.if Richards can't be a better option than kadri(moved to wing) than he plays a 3rd line defensive role.

I don't think giving up a 2nd and third rnd pick is worth the swapping the two players. Leafs need to hold on to their higher picks for a change.

Lupul is 30 Richards is 29.i think lupul might be slightly better than Richards but I think the leafs need Richards more than lupul
I meant a 2nd or a 3rd rd pick by 2/3 rd pick ferman.
Richards has 6 more years at 5.75 per
Lupul 4 years 5.25 per according to cap geek.

Too risky For toronto.richards is still good but like you said concussions and contract= if it was me in charge of tml I'd say no to this.+I think la keeps Richards at least for this season

Honestly like the idea. Adding Richards gives us leadership, a good 1C or 2C wherever Carlyle puts him, gritty play, and has had 70+ point seasons.
