i have no idea, probably a top end prospect and a 1st, probably somethign more as well. anyways, speculating on an oel trade is kind of a waste of time since he's one of the last guys Arizone would even think about moving.

@Shankar: I agree, that he won't be traded and all. But you're saying it would require a 1st and a top end prospect. 1st is there, Koekkoek is a top-end prospect. Plus Filppula, who's definitely one of the league better two way players.
So, besides that ARZ wouldn't move him, I don't think TB does that, either. Filppula is very important to the team and Koekkoek + the 1st are basically two top tier prospects.

If OEL is being moved I would expect Arizona to start with Drouin. If TB says no then a package like Tyler Johnson, Kucherov and a 1st.

That's where I was getting, Filppula is a great centre, the first, and Koekkoek is a top 10 draft pick in 2012. But I see what you guys mean, value isn't there.

IMO, Filppula, Koekkoek, 1st is too much value going back to ARZ from a lightning point of view.
Also, Drouin+ or Johnson, Kuch, 1st is too much.
Why would either team do that? ARZ does not want to move OEL, and they're right.
TB doesn't really need him, since TBs D has really improved, and already carries 8 NHL-caliber defensemen (Hedman, Stralman, Garrison, Carle, Gudas, Brewer, Sustr and Barberio)

OEL is the most under rated player in the NHL.

From PHO standpoint he is untouchable.

This is one of those proposals that doesn't even warrant discussion. OEL wouldn't be traded unless it was a huge overpayment, and the package TB is offering up isn't only not enough, but they probably wouldn't offer it anyway given how well they are doing without OEL. It's a nonsensical trade. May as well discuss discuss a Crosby + Kunitz to CAR for their top 2 forward lines trade. Fun, right?
