suter makes a good share of that 3.5 semin would be in 50% retained, and with dupuis on lti PIT has more than enough room.

however, i'd much rather sutter than semin and that's not even close.

If he's 50% that means he 3.5 mill which is less the duper contract so we can easily afford him while duper is on IR which would most likely be the rest of the season.

I would do it if we were giving up just that 3rd. Sutter is too valuable at this point. And yes Semin has looked awful this year, but maybe playing with Malkin would amp up his play?
