I have a few scenarios for Chris Stewart if he does get traded.

Sabres-Bruins

To BOS: Chris Stewart
To BUF: Jared Knight and Alex Khokhlachev

Sabres-Penguins

To PIT: Chris Stewart and Cody Hodgson
To BUF: Jayson Megna, Anton Zlobin 2015 2nd

Sabres-Flames

To CGY: Chris Stewart
To BUF: Kenny Agostino and Bill Arnold/David Wolf

I like the Boston trade, with this modification:
To BOS: Chris Stewart
To BUF: Alex Khokhlachev and Maxim Chudinov
Try to build a Russian connection on the team

Actually neither BOS trade could work, BOS has to shed some cap space to pick up Stewart. Chris Stewart (50% retained) for Alex Khokhlachev, Maxim Chudinov or Gregory Campbell to make cap space.

Because an unmotivated inconsistent UFA winger with only 10 points this season isn't going to land to former 2nd round draft choices especially when one of them is around a point a game player in the AHL.

@Charles Xavier OK, thanks. Buffalo has a lot of prospects averaging a point a game in the AHL. I doubt many of them will make it to the SHOW. But I do see where you are coming from.

Yeah I just remember that Khoklachev was suppost to be the center piece of a Iginla trade so he's got to have something going for him.

Iginla for Khoklachev, Bartkowski and a 1st, I believe was what was reported.

@SC4CGY thank you very much. It took a Cagary fan to remember, so the final trade was Iginla for Kenneth Agostino, Ben Hanowski and round 1 pick in the 2013 draft. So Khoklachev would been equivalent to Agostino or Hanowski?

@sbr2017- that's how the trade went down. Khoklachev is a C isn't he? Not sure you can compare him to either if Agostino or Hanowski, they're both wingers. The BOS deal would have been better IMO.
