Just a imagine a line of Zetterberg - Datsyuk - kessel
i could see kessel re-invent himself on that line scoring 40+ easily, with the skill, and defensive prowess of dats and z. its obviously bull but its a cool thought.

maybe we send mantha, pick?
would the leafs accept? I don't know, maybe were paying too much

You are ridiculous how is sending a prospect and a pick for a 26 year old in his prime years too much for Detroit. Mantha regardless of his talents is still a prospect, while Phil Kessel as I said before is a 26 year old that had 7 straight 30 goal seasons and 3 straight 80+points seasons. He is also a proven playoff performer as he has a point per game pace in the playoffs and most of his goals are game winning goals, and he did that with a 2-3rd line cetner man. He should get 3-4 young players with a first round draft pick.

Babcock would very much dislike Kessel's lack of defensive capabilities, I couldn't see him on the top line for that reason - PP for sure though.

He's just a player we don't need right now, considering what we'd have to give up to get him. I'm interested to see how Mantha does next season in Grand Rapids, hopefully a big improvement from this year.

That is 3-4 prospects from a regular organization.

Ill give you Frk,Jurco,Oullet,Jensen,Anderson 2015 2nd
for
Kessel and Josh Lievo

Yes, Kessel is a 80 player in his prime. But he is an inconsistent, sensitive and un reliable player when it comes the defensive aspect of the game
