Upcoming year in leaf land

With the addition of Babcock, I think some of the players Toronto was expected to trade may stay. With that being said.


Toronto: Brayden Schenn

Philadelphia: Jake Gardiner, Viktor Loov and 2016 3rd round pick

Toronto gets more depth at centre and Philadelphia gets help on the back end



Toronto: conditional 3rd (becomes 2nd if Lupul plays more than 65 games)

Montreal: Lupul

Say what you will but Montreal is desperate for a scoring winger and when Lupul is healthy he can be a game changer on the ice (for the people who actually watched leafs games, you know this)


Toronto: Cody Eakin, Radek Faksa and 12th overall pick

Dallas: Phil Kessel, Tyler Biggs, Andrew Macwilliam

Toronto gets very reliable middle 6 depth and a good draft choice

Dallas gets a premier goal scorer to make their top 6 even scarier than it already is.

San Jose: 12th overall (DAL), James Reimer and Matt Finn

Believe it or not, these players played well in Toronto and could really help out the team while we develop the kids in the minors.

Right?
The trade is good for the condition of the pick but leaf need to take a contract let's say pa parenteau or gilbert
And we give you a 2nd and a 4th if he stay heatly for 65 game or a 3 rd and a 5th if he get injured!

Pass on the Schenn trade (dont feel that there's not a huge difference in value and I feel Gardiner has the higher upside) and probably a better prospect in place of Biggs or Macwilliam but a pretty good post.

Lupul's value is at an all time low with his injury history and how he played last season. Won't be getting a 2nd back. Doubt Franson & Santorelli come back, Franson will get upwards of 5mil because of the lack of quality UFAs

Would love to see Brayden Schenn in a Leafs jersey. He hasn't had a chance in Philly to get Top 6 minutes. I think he becomes a very reliable 2nd liner for the Leafs.

I know it's a gamble. but what about Lupul. And a 3rd. for Christian Thomas. and PA Paranteau. ya.Lupul has huge injury concerns. But. he can't be any worse than PA? Prob get as many points in half the games .
