To Dallas: Dion Phanuef (1.5m retained)
To Leafs: Jamie Oleksiak,2015 1st, 2016 2nd

Honestly, might be the best option for the leafs, because they get a 6.6 defender that can play on Toronto's top 4.

Oleksiak was born in Toronto so this will hype up the media and the fans a bit.

An early 2015 1st.
2016 2nd (guess;30-40)
Lose Salary Cap
Gain Space To Sign Free Agents

Phil Kessel has good talent, but I don't think teams are THAT interested in acquiring him because:

-Lazy
-Not Consistant
-Poor Leadership
-Big Salary
(Basically all the leafs roster,LOL)

I say just get a prospect or a pick for him or just buy him out. Idk.

Oilers: James Riemer
Leafs: 2015 2nd (Canadiens)

@Bud.

Haha, sounds like a leaf fan to me.
I do know hockey that's why I think they should Trade him OR Buy hit out.
Tell me please, who would want Philip Kessel that signed a 8 year / $64,000,000 contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, including a $22,500,000 signing bonus, and an annual average salary of $8,000,000.

His Lazy,
Isn't Consistent
Nothing to see here BUD.

Wow, just keep Kessel.
If he has a 40 goal, 40 assist year his value will be back to how it usually is and he'll be able to get good prospects/picks. For now his value isn't the greatest.

Yeah needless to say (but I'll say it anyway) buying out Kessel is a terrible idea. There are plenty of teams that would be willing to make a trade for kessel. Probably won't get what a lot of Leaf fans think they will get for him, but some good pieces. If not hold on to him and he'll put up points like usual and maybe they can move him in the future when his trade value is higher. For the Phanuef deal I say take out the 1st and don't retain any salary. Montreals 2nd for Reimer sounds about right, but I think there are better options for the Oilers that could be had for the same price.

@Puckoverglass
No one would trade a 2nd for Reimer, 3rd at best IMO. He's just a backup goalie. Scrivens & Reimer are pretty much the same so Edmonton isn't gaining much.

&Stamers I hope you're trolling bud, I love ripping on Kessel as much as the next guy but he's proven he CAN be one of the top goal scorers in the league. Just look at the stats over the last several years and I bet Kessel is top 10 in goals
