Ottawa is shopping a goalie, in result of Niemi's age and not great season, San Jose might pesue Robin Lehner.

To San Jose: Robin Lehner
To Ottawa: 2015 2nd and Barcley Goodrow

Just looking at it, I don't think that Lehner would be equal in Value for Barclay, even if a second is added. IMO, Goodrow is an AHL 2nd-3rd liner at best, and considering that Lehner is Ottawa's #1 Goalie prospect, trading him away (leaving OTT with an old, dropping Anderson, a possible 1-hit wonder in Hammond, and Dreidger), this would be a huge hit to Ottawa's goaltender depth.

They also have college star Matt O'Connor plus I kind of think that Lehner needs a change of scenery, they always seem to have more faith in Anderson than Lehner.

I think if Ottawa wants Lehner than they're going to have to lower the price. Bryan Murray can't expect a second rounder in this deep draft plus a top 6 forward for Lehner. I'd trade those things for maybe a proven NHL starter who still had a contract and maybe had fallen out of favour (Niemi for instance), but not someone who hasn't proved himself (Lehner). Maybe they ask for a 3rd and a top 6 veteran. That's sounds more reasonable doesn't it
