ARI actively shopping thier 3rd pick in this years draft. they need about 18mil to reach the minimum salary cap for next season and is a team that is in rebuilding mode

ARI: 3rd overall pick, Stone
OTT: 18th, DALs 2nd Rd pick, Robin Lehner, David Legwand, Colin Greening, Milan Michalek, Jared Cowen, prospect Buddy Robinson

David legwand And Milan Michalek can bring veteran presence on a rebuilding team. Mike smith gets a solid replacement in Lehner and he can compete for the #1 spot and can take over while they Wait out Visentin. Jared Cowen a Dman with a lot of potential and upside gets a fresh start with a new team. As for this years draft, ARI gets the 18th overall and a High 2nd rounder. All in all ARI takes on some short term salary dump (in Greening, Michalek and legwand) to help them reach the league minimum, and they can also serve as depth players for the next 2yrs as ARI waits out the rise of their upcoming young talents in Dvorak, Domi and Duclair. also Cowen and Lehner are fairly young and can grow with this young rebuilding team.
In return, OTT gets a solid pick outside of Mcdavid and Eichel and mark stone's bro
If ARI is not contempt, maybe add in Hoffman to the pot

just an idea, but who knows. Maybe it'll make sens for ARI's GM. WIN-WIN situation is it not?

quality =/=. ARI rebuilds, the only piece they might need is Lehner (and the picks, but they're way worse then 3rd OA). Cowen doesn't have a lot of upside, IMO.

Pretty sure ARI would receive much better offers, including staying in the top10.

1st of all 8 assets for 2 assets is highly unlikely. Also as said in other comments not even close in value

Arizona said they were open to trading but I highly doubt they're actively shopping. Simply seeing what teams will offer. As far as value goes, got to give to get. It'll take quality not quantity and if Arizona wants to reach cap floor through trades they can get high cap players teams don't want for nothing. Like Semin, Carle, Clarkson etc
