Maple Leafs trade James Van Riemsdyk, Nazem Kadri and Jake Gardiner to the Panthers

Panthers trade Jonathan Huberdeau, Brandon Pirri and Eric Gudbranson to the Maple Leafs

jvr=>huber right now, jvr is a proven 25-30 goals scorer with one of the best contracts in the game (obviously huber has more potential but he had a down year last year)

and i'd definitely say kadri, Gardiner>pirri, gudbranson

both of torontos players have higher potentials, and have played better on a worse team

i think flo would love to have a player like jvr, but if you're giving up hubes nahh, and their center depth is already ridiculous and don't need kadri as a 3rd line c (bjugstad, barkov top 2 centers) and I think theyd rather have gudbranson since he is a shutdown d, I believe gardiner is worth more but they bring different think to the table

soo naww not a fantastic trade either way

IMO, in terms of trade value, Huberdeau >= JVR. Kadri > Pirri and Gudbranson > Gardiner.

What the hell how can anyone say Huberdeau>JVR that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard people are crazy if they think Florida would be the one to Reject cause it would be the leafs in no way do the they get enough value back for JVR, Kadri and Gardiner try again

It is. Easily. Sure, JVR is a bit better right now.
But Huberdeau's ceiling is arguably a lot higher, which is a big factor in trade value.
