bos gets a shut down 2nd pairing dman with a rh shot and a serviceable back up goalie. toronto gets 2/3rd line rw wing with shoot first mentality, and PK and faceoff veteran in kelly and a rw prospect with some nhl exp.

Why would the wings trade those players? We have a solid prospect goalie in Mrasek. Plus the wings already have a log jam of defense. Wings say no.

Toronto runs away laughing on the 1st trade. In other words, it wouldn't happen unless Boston had a GM stupid enough to trade a top 2 future Norris trophy candidate defenseman for a mid level 1st round pick and then use that pick to draft a player projected to be selected in the 3rd round. Oh wait.

I wouldn't even want to trade two of those Bruins for those two Leafs if I was Boston, such a bad trade for Boston. correct me if I am wrong but didn't Boston give up two 2nds for Connolly? i'd almost say a 2nd for Polak and a 2nd for Riemer is good, why add in Kelly and Griffith.
