Some trades I come up with while I bored in class. Rip them apart as you please.

Canucks/Canadians

Canucks trade
-Radim Vrbata
-Jordan Subban
-Linden Vey

Canadians trade
-Nathan Bealieu
-Michael Bournival
-Cond. 2016 2nd (Earlier of the MTL/MIN picks)
-2017 3rd
-------------------------------------------
Islanders/Predators

Islanders trade
-Kyle Okposo
-Ryan Strome
-Calvin De Haan

Predators trade
-Seth Jones
-Colin Wilson

Islanders probably wouldn't be able to resign Okposo(He will get paid) so trading him now makes sense. I usually shoot down Seth Jones trade but I think if they could move him for a future top line C it may be worth it. Islanders get a future top pairing Dmam with lots of upside. Strome can be traded due to Barzal. Isles get a replacement for Okposo in Wilson. Preds improve gaining 2 F who would play in the top 6 right away and a decent replacement for Jones in De Haan. Nashville has plenty of space to sign Okposo if they could get him to stay.
-------------------------------------------
Coyotes/Sharks

Coyotes trade
-Mikkel Boedker

Sharks trade
-Mirco Mueller
-2016 3rd
-2017 6th

I think sharks could use another F for the top 6, Boedker is a pending UFA and will be getting a big raise and I see Zona moving him this season. Yotes get a former 1st round pick and a Dman they could use for the future who projects as a top 4 capable of playing all situation & also add a few picks for the rebuild.

First trade isn't bad for value but I don't know I think if I was Montreal I'd want to keep the young d.
Second trade I don't think Okposo would mean to much to Nashville, Barzal should be included and is De Haan projected to be top line?

@Oilers_11 True. Maybe get rid of Vey/Bealieu and add Tinordi then. And yeah I had Barzal in there initially instead of Strome but idk I'd NYI would part ways. Barzy will be a stud

Doesn't make sense for isles to make trade. Yes jones is young and looks like a stud but isles have a lot of good defense prospects and the right side is already locked up with boychuk, hamonic and pulock coming this year. Strome is more important to the team as he is a key to their offense and more valuable to them than jones would be. Wilson is a good number 3 center but isles are already set down the middle with Tavares, Nelson, Nielsen, Grabovski, Bailey, Czikas, Strome. Wilson does little to improve the team.

This would be a backwards trade for the isles moving 2 top 6 forwards and a top 4 d for a top 4 d and bottom six forward.

@Warriors2424. You bring up really good points. My thought on Wilson would be he'd play wing. Played LW most of last season.
