Why does Washington need Kadri. Don't get me wrong he's not a bad player and should have a respectable career but they have Backstrom and Kuznetsov who are higher caliber players. Also that is way to much for Kadri. I wouldn't give Bowey or Samsonov alone for Kadri at this point.

Nazem Kadri is a 2nd/3rd liner. He isn't good, and he isn't disciplined. The guy had so much talent and potential but the Leafs destroyed him.

Samsonov is the future of Washington. He's like a Vasilevsky type of situation. When Holtby because old and his body isn't as good as it once was, his role will get passed on to the talented Russian.

Bowey surprised everybody, playing like a 1st rounder defenceman. And if the draft happened again i'd bet my money he'd go in the late first round. He had 60 points last year.

Unfortunely, now Kadri is worth an early 3rd.

@NN21 seriously? Have you watched any of there game this year? Kadri has generated the 4th most shots on net this year, a positive corsi player and has drawn more penalties than any other player in the league while playing the most minutes for forwards for a coach (that strives for commitment and 2 way play in his players, which Kadri has been way beetle at) this year. To say he is simply just a 3rd line center and is only worth a 3rd is absurd. Personally despite getting no puck luck at all this season I see him as a high end 2nd line center.

Kadri is worth more than an early 3rd. Moron.

He is still quite young, still has potential. I could see him switching to the wing and having more success. You must hate the Leafs or something because even though you typed all of that you need to prove more hockey sense to me for me to take you seriously.

I don't even like Kadri but come on.

You guys can all stop arguing and name calling. If that's the asking price, the Caps don't need and won't be trading for Nazem Kadri, end of story.
