San Jose:

3rd 2016 (florida)

Marleau has Anaheim as 1 of 3 teams he would accept a trade to. San Jose has no left wing prospects. Anaheim solves their first line void adding Marleau on a line with Getzlaf and Perry.

San Jose also has no 1st round pick for 2016.

San Jose has no first this year so if we trade Marleau that signals either a rebuild or retool. But we can't just throw this season away. I think DW will add to the team before he subtracts key players like Marleau.

Either way, I'm a huge Marleau fan, but I don't think he'd fetch Ritchie. But even if he did, I think Wilson would be fired due to the sentimental value Marleau holds in San Jose. Please finish your career as a shark!

I doubt any team would give up top prospects or good draft picks for a declining Marleau.

@ProDepth

if wilson was able to get ritchieout of ANA for marleau, he would be deserving of a rasie, not fired.

i do agree that SJ can't just throw away the season though, so i do believe that they will look to add to marleau to get something young-ish that helps them now. question then becomes if someone else will do that, which i doubt.

Guys take this from me. Chris Stewart is just the worst. He has god given talent, can skate just as fast as anyone out there, Has one of the best hands i have seen on a power forward in a while. His back hand is devastating. But he has no heart and is a head case. Most inconsistent player i have ever seen. Blues had him for couple years. I pretty sure its not just us he has been on several teams, Wild, Ducks, Aves, Buffalo, and blues. Everyone says same thing either is great or mostly invisible. Nobody should want him.
