tough to determine his value. He was a great junior player. hasn't done much in the pros. Clearly has skill and upside, but not sure that justifies a kings ransom (nor does his slow development justify a steal) .

I liken it a little to the Turris situation a bit. both 3rd overall picks. Strong junior numbers but struggled to be consistent as a pro. And Turris went for a Runblad (at the time a mid 1st round pick with upside) and a 2nd.

Now I would go out of my way to say Drouin has more value now than Turris did then, but it's not substantially more. At least not enough to justify top end picks/ prospects.

What a sweet goal from Kapanen (wjc winner) . Take out Matthias and the 1st. TB adds a 2nd
Just in case you want to question my thought process. Success at WJC translates successful pro career. By the way, I didn't see Drouin score any big goals in WJC when he played.
