CLB is already in salary cap hell, they can't afford him. And Malkin is not likely going anywhere.

CLB try to trade Tyutin, Clarkson, Hartnell and maybe Foligno. So they can save money with other trades.
CLB need a better center after trading Johansen; and PIT get a fast LW for the Crosby-Line and get more cap space.
