NyI are in win now mode, leafs are adding prospects young talent. Wonder if this would work.

Tor- jvr and kapinen
NYI- Pulock and strome

jvr is 27 in his prime, is a top winger to play with taverese and has a friendly cap hit. NYI already have a young top 4 defence with decent depth making Pulock disposable. Leafs add kapinen as a fringe nhl player with potential to be a top 6 forward. Leafs get Pulock a 2 way Rhd shoots hard and would pair nicely with Reilly. Strome is a natural centre who can play the wing and hadn't quite lived up to his hype in New York. Change of scenery could do him good. What you think. Jvr>Pulock strome>kapinen so it kind of evens out in my opinion.

Strome + Pulock > JVR + Kapanen
Yeah JVR is better now, but long term that is terrible for Islanders. And your reasoning for the trade is delusional. You think Pulock is disposable like come on. All in all Islanders say no.

Pulock is a great prospect but the problem right now is that he needs to be protected in the expansion draft. NYI could take 4 D and 4 forwards but risk losing a good forward. It's a tough call for them.
