Jets : Trouba, 2nd

Isles : Halak, Boychuck

Jets get a good #1 goaltender and a RHD to replace Trouba and the Isles get a potential top 2 RHD. Works cap wise for both team plus Boychuck wants to play in Canada.

Boychuck is worth more then Trouba slightly

I would edit this

Halak and Boychuck for Trouba 1st and 4th

but that being said Boychuck doesn't want to be traded.

As good as Boychuck is now expect a decline coming soon. He's got a massive contract and any team that's smart and thinking ahead would not trade for him. I imagine with his rugged style of play it takes it toll on the body.

Dman for Dman trade does not solve the Jets problems of losing a big name Dman at the Vegas draft.

Last thing the Jets need is another salary attached to a goalie. Pavalec would have to be moved the other way to make it even somewhat feasible. I suppose Isles could put Pavalec in the AHL as he already is, which doesn't make it horribly out of the question, but I dunno if it works for the Isles. They need someone to score and/ or play with Tavares.
