heard rumour that toronto has to re-up marner, nylander and matthews at the same time and they won't be able to afford everyone. what i heard was the person saying matthews would be traded. i thought this sounded really stupid and would be taking like 5 steps back, so eliminating matthews that would leave marner and nylander, i don't see either of them being traded but of the three (i personally wouldn't do it but) marner would likely be the one to go.

Toronto: Marner +2nd + Sosh
St Louis: Parayko?

too much? not enough?

Why from St. Louis? Are they winning too many games, need to change things up? I like the talk of having 5 top 4 defenseman instead of trading a young gun.

I have seen tons of threads on Parayko. The blues fans are not willing to trade Parayko for anything less than a vast overpayment. It would take Mathews to pry away Parayko. They acknowledge that Mathews is the Better player by far but are unwilling to part with Parayko. The Management Made a statement by trading shattenkirk. Darmstrong Said Parayko and Petro will be on the right side for many years to come.

To sum it up Parayko is not available unless you are offering a mathews type #1 center.

Nylander needs a contract this year (marner and Mathews are next year) . Once Nylanders is done it will set the parameters for a marner deal. I believe both will sign for 6-8 years at 6-7 mill. Just too many comparisons in that range to demand much more (ehlers, pasternak, monahan, Gaudreau, mackinnon etc) . Matthews will sign whatever he wants much like mcdavid. I believe all 3 will be in Toronto for a long time. If they were to trade marner, parayko is definitely someone I would like back, but like pointed out above, makes zero sense for blues.
