to Toronto
Sekera

to Edmonton
Gardiner

Toronto gets a more dependable and consistent veteran while Edmonton gets a dynamic player who could probably thrive in Edmonton much the way Justin Schultz is thriving in Pittsburgh.

No with a capital n. I hate toronto and would love more than anything to see them fail for the next 100 years but even I can say this is ridiculous. A mid twenties decent d man with potential in Gardiner for an old d man on the decline and a bad contract in Sekera? No way in hell.

Oopsy he did my bad, but anyways gardiner is a way way more establiahed dman than Schultz was when he got traded. Gardiner also won’t get traded I can’t see it, unless maybe for a righty?

Gardiner is worth more than that lol but he’s not a mod 20s d with potential still. He’s 28 and he is what he is. He’s a great skater, can move the puck, can make passes that no one else on the leafs can make and can be really effective on a power play. However he is high risk high reward. Most games he has a blatant giveaway or 2 and then makes 3-4 great plays. Game 7 was 7 or 8 awful plays and nothing good to write home about.
