Spooner had his best years (and only years really) in Boston. They know him well and he knows them well so never turn down the possibility of spooner returning to Boston because ya never know.

If there was actually a chance for krug and DeBrusk for Nuge, that should have been done. Oilers need puck moving D and good wingers. Their 2 best players are centres better than nuge. If that was actually a thing and PC didn’t pull the trigger, I think that’s a mistake. You would get a young guy who would be one of the best wingers on the roster and a Dman who would be one of the best on the roster for a guy whos 3rd at Centre depth chart.

It's a rumor that those teams have talked Nuge / Krug possibility in the summer. Rumors heated up again when Bruins GM was at the oilers Flames game. Speculating suggestions of Lucic going back to Boston and backes needing a change. Someone just randomly threw Debrusks name in the because he's from Edm.
Boston wouldn't trade Krug and Debrusk for Nuge. And that trade involving those three players was never an actual rumor.

Oh okay. Just when he said that was the original I thought seems like an easy yes from Oilers. I like Nuge, good player, but that would address 2 needs. I always thought DeBrusk would be a decent middle 6 guy at best after his first little while. After that series in the playoffs against the leafs last spring, I was really impressed. He stood out almost every shift doing something. Pretty physical too. He would be a good add for a lot of teams.
