Carolina does this to improve upfront adding a Top RWinger in WNylander, losing Pesce is a minus but Liljegren still has lots of upside and you have to give to get in other areas.

Toronto up against The Cap and with WNylander again making it difficult this is a proposal that fixes The Cap issue, getting a 21 year old that's not WNylander but like Liljegren still has lots of upside, and adding Pesce makes The Defense much better.

This proposal is a win win for both Teams imo.

So SJarvis is better than WNylander?
Yes Pesce is better than Liljegren but there isn't a huge gap compared to SJarvis and WNylander.
And people say I am bias about Leaf Players, that's an example of bias against Toronto.

Pinballisback, I have to disagree with you - the gap between Pesce and Liljegren is at least as big between that between Nylander and Jarvis, maybe bigger. Liljegren is not considered to be an elite defender, but Pesce is. This comes from someone who is a fan of neither Toronto or Carolina. Anyway, the Canes should owe no extra compensation in this proposal.

No Pinball, Pesce is better and more valuable than Nylander and Jarvis is much better and much more valuable than Liljegren.

Even if you want to say Pesce and Nylander are close, the gap between Jarvis and Liljegren is immense, Liljegren isn't anywhere near the same value/ skill stratosphere.

We all you that you like to post deals that are always almost comically tilted in Toronto's favour, but sometimes you really go out of your way to make an exceptionally one sided deal in Toronto's favour. This is one of those.

It's difficult to compare an elite defender to an elite goal scorer. I would give the smallest edge to Pesce. As to the other half of the trade, I would much rather have Jarvis than Liljegren.

I’d be willing to bet money that Nylander is worth more then Pesce but not that much more.
