No from Winnipeg as the Jets need a 2C. Monahan isn't an upgrade over anyone in Winnipeg's top 6 and isn't good enough defensively to play in the bottom 6.

I doubt Chevy has any interest especially at that cost.

I think that the value is there but if I'm MTL, I'd prefer going for prospects instead of picks. Rebuild is going along well and a young core is being built and I think it's important for them to have a core of players that have similar age ranges, considering they already have a good amount of draft picks in the next few years. I would swap that 1st for a young promising player like Lambert, assuming a deal would be done with WPG.

Nice chickenfoot, didn’t think Montreal was getting a 1st for Monahan. These early trades may be worth more than deadline deals. Montreal killed it with Monahan.

Well, your doubts didn't pan out as you thought. Monahan is now a Jet! For a 1st this year and a conditional 3rd in 2027 if they win the cup.
