C-mon Bluebuds! I am a diehard Leafs fan. There is no way Phanuef is chosen for the Olympic team over someone like Subban.

I also think there is no risk in these choices. Same ole, same ole. Easy just to pick the big names and throw them into any forward position. Take a big name centre and put him on wing just because he's a big name.

Canada never does well at the Olympics on the International ice surfaces. We need to break the old habit of just picking the biggest NHL names (in a few cases) and go with fast, young talent.

I would love to see Huberdeau in there instead of Mike Richards.

Think outside the box a little and make it more interesting.

At what point did I say phaneuf is going to make the squad I said he could be considered as the 7-8th defensemen that's it and going with young talent doesn't do anything we need to bring experience with speed and Crosby Toews Giroux they all bring that subban is just as bad as phaneuf for his mistakes so why should he be on the team when better options include doughty pietrangelo Letang get real bud stop the subban for Olympic squad he had one good year he is useless

Bluebuds, I'm not a habs fan and I'm not a Subban fan at all. I actually think he's poison in the dressing room. I also don't think Phaneuf is a bad player. He plays huge minutes and works like a dog. He has made a mistake here and there, but really no more than the next guy.

My only points were:
1. Phaneuf will not be taken before the Norris trophy winner, whether I agree with that or not.
2. I would like to see a Huberdeau, or perhaps another young guy on the team. Let's just see how McKinnon does this year and see if people start talking about his inclusion.

I wasn't slamming your choices, just making my own observations.

Hahah sorry bud just sick of all these leaf haters on here and you won't see anyone younger than like 23 just the way team Canada rolls and that's probably our downfall like the Turin Olympics man would it have gone totally different if Crosby and stamkos and every other rising Canadian star in this league were there
