G'day mates,

I'm a penguins fan all the way from Western Australia so have pretty limited access to NHL. Therefore i don't have much of an idea in terms of the cap space, draft picks, Vegas expansion etc. - especially in regards to other teams. So basically go easy on me.

I know that this is probably more of a dream scenario so wanted feedback on how possible it is to pull off or if not, why? I assume most of you will know more than myself.

Trade 1:
Flames - Fleury, Sheary and 2nd round pick
Penguins - Hamilton (and some cap retained) and 3rd round pick

Trade 2:
Avalanche - Rust, Kunitz, Daley and 1st round pick
Penguins - Landeskog and 2nd round pick

Trade 3:
Sabres - Maatta, Bonino and 4th round pick
Penguins - Kane (and some cap retained) and 3rd round pick

Team:
Landeskog Crosby Hornqvist
Kane Malkin Sprong
Hagelin Guentzel Kessel
Wilson Sundqvist Kuhnackl

Dumoulin Letang
Pouliot Hamilton
Cole Schultz

Murray
Jarry

I'm not certain on what picks we currently hold but maybe use a mix of present and future picks? Also guessing this would put a lot of pressure on the salary cap (likely over) but interested in the feedback anyway.

ok, I'll go easy.

First trade is pretty bad for CGY value-wise, and they don't really need Fleury, especially at the expense of Hamilton with salary retained.

Secpnd trade is probably the most lopsided of the bunch. I mean, it's basically just a late first for Landeskog, because those other guys more or less add up to the value of a second.

In the third trade, you're offering way too much for kane. Honestly, I at first thought it was CHI's kane you were wanting judging by the first two trades and what you had offered, but Evander isn't really worth all that much. Maatta alone is an overpayment for him, and a pretty large one at that.

That being said, they're definitely better than some things posted on here by people who claim to know everything there is to know about the NHL, so good job in that regard.

All these trades are pretty bad. It's a good thing your not a leafs or canadians fan or super troll (Shankar) would crawl up your ass.

Goailes don't have that much value in a trade. It's wired since they are the most important position. It's just goalies are so hot and cold. The value of goalie are a prospect and a 2nd rounder or a 1st and a 2nd rounder. So go from there. Less fir Kane. I honestly think you can get him for a first. That might be overpayment.
You don't want him on your team. He's not a good guy. Never was. Was a looser in high school. Is a looser now.

They aren't terrible and you're new to this so you'll figure out how these tradea work. But I'll try and help improve these trades:

1st trade - both Fleury and Hamilton are 5.75 mil cap hits so it doesn't make sense that Calgary holds bacl salary. Also Sheary is v important to Pittsburgh's offence. Maybe a RW prospect like Daniel Sprong. And then change the 2nd to a 1st. You also may need to retain money on Fleury.

2nd trade - If you want Landeskog it has to be Maataa coming back to Colorado as the base of the trade. Then you add in your picks and prospects. Maybe Maataa, Jake Guentzel and a conditional 1st next year if the Pens win a cup in either season.

3rd trade - For Evander Kane it shouldn't cost much. He only seems to play well in Buffalo if he's on a line with a star like Jack Eichel or Ryan O'Reilly. It should only cost a Left handed d-man (like Derrick Pouliot) + Kunitz (cap dump) + a 2nd and a 3rd. But in all honesty I don't see the Pens needing Evander Kane.

So, i'm assuming Tankie's newest account is SaulGoodman? What is this, number 4 for you, Tankie?

It was a compliment sir. You are a troll (don't take my word for it click on your name) the super part indicates your ability at what you do. Your welcome.

I honestly don't think the Pens will do much of anything. Pretty much the same team as won the cup last year. Solid depth in minors with NHL quality players. Unless someone makes an offer they can't refuse, they'll probably sit with what they have. Fleury will go in the off season.
