Skinner is now on the TSN top 40 trade bait list so here it goes

Col: Barrie

Car: Skinner

To me, the value is pretty fair even though Carolina doesn't need defenseman

Avalanche29

1.) 09 Feb 2018 00:57:53
Value is fair but makes no sense for Carolina but it would make sense to a team like Toronto

Colorado
Barrie
2nd round pick

Toronto
Jvr
Leivo
4th round pick.

2.) 09 Feb 2018 01:23:50
you explained why it's not believable in your post. value wise okay, but carolina doesn't need defensemen so why would they do this?

3.) 09 Feb 2018 01:30:52
yeah. i don't see a situation where they're trading for another Defence.

4.) 09 Feb 2018 01:58:55
I don't think they would want a D man back. They are looking pretty good on the back end and I would say they want pick prospect for forward depth.

5.) 09 Feb 2018 03:07:52
Not too bad value wise but Carolina doesn’t need D and they do need scoring. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.

6.) 09 Feb 2018 03:34:33
Value is there too bad Carolina has 0 reason to make this trade, as you said lol.

7.) 09 Feb 2018 05:55:39
Haha I like how somebody just only disagrees with my comments lol salty.

03 Dec 2017 05:36:40
just some trades i would like to see happen for the avs so they can stock up on draft picks

Col : Comeau

VGK: 4th

Col: Wilson

EDM: 3rd

Col: Soderberg

MTL: 2nd (50% retained)

This allows the avs to let some of their young guys come up and get some experience in the NHL

Landy - MacK - Rants
Jost - Kerf - Compher
Yak - Toninato - Bourque
Nieto - Kamenev - Greer

Girard - Johnson
Zadorov - Barrie
Lindholm - Barberio

Varly
Bernier

Thoughts?

Avalanche29

1.) 03 Dec 2017 10:50:51
Idk if Soderberg gets that much and don't see Vegas trading for Comeau.

2.) 03 Dec 2017 16:30:23
Its a good thing you retained 50% of that 2nd.

11 Sep 2016 01:42:41
Hearing about Landy to VanCity rumours so here it goes

Option 1#
COL: Landeskog

VAN: Tanev, 1st

Option 2#

COL: Landeskog, 2nd

VAN: Edler, Horvat.

Avalanche29

1.) 11 Sep 2016 06:30:44
No from Col.

01 Aug 2016 22:29:29
Tor: Bozak

NJ: Conditional 2nd

*2nd becomes 1st if Bozak scores 65+ points

Tor: Lupul

Ari: 3rd

Sign Vesey 2 years 3.5 mill $ AAV

Sign Enroth 1 year 1.1 mill

JVR Kadri Komarov
Michalek Matthews Nylander
Vesey Marner Soshnikov
Martin Laich Rychel/ Holland

Reilly Zaitsev
Gardiner Polak
Hunwick Marincin

Andersen
Enroth.

Avalanche29

1.) 02 Aug 2016 04:41:16
Ya Bozak's not going to score 65 points. At most I'd say 50 points which is solid, but worth only a 2nd not a 1st.

2.) 02 Aug 2016 04:58:37
Kings said it perfectly. 50 would be nice, if he could get that, and a 2nd is something leafs should take if offered.

3.) 02 Aug 2016 05:11:55
Pretty sure Vessey signs a 2 year entry level doesn't he?

4.) 02 Aug 2016 05:40:07
@Ebsolutley
you are correct, the only way Jimmy Vesey will ever get to 3.5 mill is his bonuses with his first contract, he's never played in he NHL, so he has to sign an ELC and the most he could get is 925,000. I so I also, am confused.

5.) 02 Aug 2016 15:47:23
Also why would michalek be above him on the depth chart.

6.) 02 Aug 2016 22:32:44
Pretty sure vesey can make up to 3.85mil with bonus's.

12 Jul 2016 22:24:51
Some Barrie trades I thought of

COL: Barrie

EDM: Eberle, Davidson

COL: Barrie

Edm: Nugent Hopkins, Reinhart

COL: Barrie 2nd RP

Edm: Draisaitl

COL: Barrie

Tor: Van Reimsdyk, Gardiner

COL: Barrie

Bos: Spooner, 2nd RP

COL: Barrie, 2nd RP

DET: Nyquist, Smith

COL: Barrie

OTT: Hoffman

COL: Barrie, 3rd RP

STL: Rattie, Gunnarson.

Avalanche29

1.) 12 Jul 2016 23:12:28
You think Hoffman has more value than Eberle, JVR, RNH and almost the same as Draisaitl?

2.) 12 Jul 2016 23:14:39
All no for Oilers unless we pretend that the exp draft isn't happening. If it wasn't then for the Oilers:
1.No Barrie + is required for JUST Eberle. Eberle is a top 3 forward and Barrie as per GM Sakic is a 5th Dman. got to
up the ante to get Eberle.
2.No Barrie ++ for JUST RNH. Same as Eberle except worth
more.
3.No Draisetl is not for sale unless it involves the name
Shea Weber or Eq.

4. Leafs can protect Barrie in the exp draft, and want to
get young so YES.
5. Don't know Spooner so can't comment
6. Not familiar with Nyquist's ability so can't comment.
7. Sens have 3 D they would like to protect already so no
go unless Methot was a part of the deal.
8. St Louis needs to save cap $$ in the deal because they
are close to the cap. Don't see Rattie on the St Louis
roster, so can't say if the $$ to STL are more or
less?

3.) 12 Jul 2016 23:21:34
First 3, no from Oilers.

Detroit is pretty good, and so is OTT.

Toronto, I think they decline.

Boston and St. Louis i'm not sure about so I won't say.

4.) 12 Jul 2016 23:32:01
Lol what's with the last trade? Gunnarson is a top 6 at best and Rattie isn't that great. Still could turn but I would say his value is probably a bit higher then St. Louis's 3rd. The others all seemed somewhat close/ reasonable but that last one is an absolute joke.

5.) 12 Jul 2016 23:46:34
the ones that seem fair are hoffman or spooner, people over value barrie hard. i wouldn't trade ebs or nyquist or JVR or drais for him.

6.) 13 Jul 2016 00:06:00
JVR = Eberle
Gardiner > Davidson

And that's a real easy no from the leafs.

7.) 13 Jul 2016 00:16:39
Believe these are bad for everyone that's not the avalanche.

8.) 13 Jul 2016 01:11:56
The Toronto and Draistal ones are terrible also on paper Gardiner has better possession numbers Shea Webber that's an interesting fact I just found out.

9.) 13 Jul 2016 01:39:14
I honestly don't really like any of those oilers trades. We are giving up our best RW (which we don't have much of) in the first one. the Nuge one is the best because we are giving up two things we don't need but I also think we are giving too much. We are giving too much in the Drasaitl trade.

10.) 13 Jul 2016 01:45:06
Some good some bad dras isn't worth barrie and a 2nd.

11.) 13 Jul 2016 01:58:17
Wow you just got fired by six teams.

12.) 13 Jul 2016 02:52:15
Gunners on is top 4 on one of the best defenses in the league. Rattie is a dark horse two years 30 goals ahl and had 6 goals in 11 games last season. I think with backes and brouwer gone he will play 3rd line rw he needs a shot.

I don't think Aves are getting enough back.

Also isn't barrie rhd we have petro and parayko they are better.

13.) 13 Jul 2016 05:20:10
Pary isn't better than barrie.

14.) 13 Jul 2016 06:54:08
6'6 230 rhd with 33pts +20 and had 7pts in playoffs was 2nd best dman in all three playoffs series as a first year rookie. His ceiling is high. Rather have him over shatty 2.0 that's was -17.

15.) 13 Jul 2016 08:22:27
Colt relax, we've heard it all before. Parayko is a god. We know brotha.

16.) 13 Jul 2016 10:18:14
Colt, This equation doesn't add up, If Boumeester and Pietrangelo made up the first pairing and Shattenkirk and Parayako on the 2nd, then how is Gunner a top 4?😂 it shows how much you're overvaluing. Realistically Gunner sneaks into the top 4 at some games because he's a left shot and he could possibly play top 4 and of course the Blues don't have a lot of LHD, but he is realistically a top 6, I know you overvalue your STL players, you're hated for your obnoxious biased opinions, almost every post you make has at least has 3x as much unbelievable than believable (with good reason) but come on, be a realist for once in your life.

17.) 13 Jul 2016 13:08:10
Colts right- Parayko is better than Barrie. Easily.

18.) 13 Jul 2016 17:04:37
Here is also what I can't figure out. How is Barrie so overvalued by GM's when they know Roy pretty much has to or wants to move him, yet Oilers looking for a RHD and a player like Taylor Hall (RIP Taylor) gets supremely undervalued by ALL 29 other GM's?

19.) 13 Jul 2016 18:20:15
Flying V fyi all combos happened last year.

they had edmondson with petro
Jaybo with shatty
gunner with parayako

they had jaybo petro
shatty parayko

edmondson bortuzzo

they had jayboo petro
gunner parayko
edmondson shatty

and everywhere in between. in all reality Hitch belives in pairs and chemistry.

Gunner played with parayko jaybo usually with petro and edmondson with shatty

if you rank the talent of the dmen it gos like this

left
jaybo
gunner
edmondson (rookie)

right
Petro
Parayko (rookie)
Shatty
Bortuzzo

gunnerson could easily be top 4 for most teams in the league who are not stacked.

20.) 13 Jul 2016 18:30:26
its funny how much crap i get for telling it how it is with Parayko yet every other post on this site for the last 6 months was in regards to trading for him. I talked this kid up since before the season. I got spat on, i said he would contend for calder (which he did great class of rookies this year) , I was told he wouldn't maintain his success (which he did), then i'm told he won't be able to cut it in the playoffs with the best teams, (he stood out and was easily the 2nd best dman for blues), So stand out year stand out playoffs, then i'm told he will be a one year wonder, won't repeat success. So i'm just waiting for next season, what will be the excuse then, I have watched hockey my entire life played it coached it and love it. I can tell the difference between good bad and gifted and those with raw undeveloped talent. I also know there are a few things you can't teach, good instincts, size and heart. This Kid has everything and i'm willing to continue to watch him develope cause i see his talent, his poise and his heart. I will not bring him up again unless some else does. But unlike this offseason when i didn't shove the blues succes in all your nay Sayers faces, i will with Colton Parayko and i will enjoy it.

21.) 13 Jul 2016 20:14:27
I watched Parayko play all playoffs and the guy is a stud Colt. As far as the rest of the team goes I think you can tone it down a notch. You over value almost every other player on the team IMO.

22.) 13 Jul 2016 20:43:14
No one had anything bad to say about him. Your not the only one that noticed his talents. No one told you he wouldn't be good in the playoffs? People said he would drop in production which he did didn't he? Same can be said for Draisaitl. You actually said he'd contend for the Norris I remember that! We all agree he's a good young D. Your not an NHL scout or something.

23.) 15 Jul 2016 05:12:39
Ebs if you break down the season in half he almost had similar halves.

Avs lineup 2016-17

Landeskog Duchene Iginla
Colbourne Mackinnon Rantanen
Comeau Soderberg Grigorenko
McLeod Mitchell Compher
Martinsen

Johnson Beachemin
Zadorov Barrie
Tyutin Bigras
Weircioch Gelinas

Varlamov
Pickard

Playoff Lineup?
I think in 2-3 years when Rantanen and Jost develop into great players. Also Zadorov and Bigras are very young ( both 21) and could turn into solid dman.

Avalanche29

1.) 11 Aug 2016 06:33:43
Do ends can vary go longer than 20 games without injurying himself. I would let Pickard try and take the #1 or run them as a tandem like blues did with elliot allen.

2.) 11 Aug 2016 14:12:39
Vary go past 20 games without groin pull.

13 Jul 2016 20:02:18
Projected Avs Lineup

Landeskog Duchene Iginla
Grigorenko Mackinnon Rantanen
Colbourne Soderberg Comeau
Martinsen Mitchell Compher

Beauchemin Johnson
Weircioch Barrie
Bigras Zadorov

Varlamov
Pickard

First Line:

Duchene and Landeskog are the best forwards on the Avalanche. With the exception of Mackinnon but I'll explain that later. Iggy had chemistry with dutchy last year and he can still finish and put up good numbers.

Second Line:

Grigs has slick hands and can feed Mack in the slot for easy goals because of Mackinnon's elite finish. Rantanen has the same job as Grigorenko but he can grind in the corner better than Grigs.

Third Line:

Colbourne can possibly slide into the top 6 but j think he fits nicely in with Soda and Comeau.

Fourth Line:

Martinsen is a gritty winger who hits hard. Mitchell is a good 2 way bottom 6 center. Now there's J. T Compher. Compher came over in the Buffalo trade and was a star at Michigan the past couple of years. He has a great skill set in speed, hands and hockey IQ. I see him making the starting day roster and maybe even sliding into the top 6 where he can improve by playing alongside our star player.

Top Pair:

Simple as this. Johnson is a great 2 way defense man and beachemin is a great stay at home defense man who can also put up a decent amount of points.

Second Pair:

I think Weircioch was a really beneficial offseason pickup for the Avs. He provides great depth and he is big which is what Roy likes in his D. Barrie is a good offensive dman and will mesh nicely with Weircioch.

Bottom Pair:

Zadorov and Bigras are two promising defense man who can blossom by not playing a whole bunch of minutes and not overwhelming them with ice time.

What do u guys think?

Avalanche29

1.) 13 Jul 2016 21:52:43
D still weak 4th line is bad with the exemption of Mitchell.

2.) 13 Jul 2016 22:58:37
Very excited to see Rantanen play this year. He's my dark horse for the Calder trophy if he can stick with the Avs this year.

13 Jul 2016 18:29:25
Who do u guys think next years Calder will be?
I think Aho or Matthews.

Avalanche29

1.) 13 Jul 2016 19:03:23
Laine
Jesse P
Marner
Rantanen
Zacha
Barzal
Sprong (If he makes lineup)
Strome
DeAngelo
Conner
There are a lot of possibilities.

2.) 13 Jul 2016 21:21:30
I think it will be laine or marner.

3.) 13 Jul 2016 23:00:25
Laine, Marner/ Matthews, Jesse Puljuarvi, Conner, Provorov and maybe Zacha if he gets put on a line with Hall.

4.) 14 Jul 2016 01:29:50
I agree with JaJa if Marner pans out by that I mean as a leafs fan I expect him to be atleast as good as Gaudreau within the next 2 years.

5.) 14 Jul 2016 08:44:53
You don't have Mathews an option?
I'm a huge fan of Laine.
And if course hoping for Pullijarvi.

6.) 14 Jul 2016 12:01:32
Jessie P will be someone to watch if he makes the team, him playing with Drais could be fun.

7.) 14 Jul 2016 15:46:35
Conner will be a dark horse. With rookies it usualy depends on who they play with. Look at Chicago last year.

Some things I want the Avs to do in the offseason

1. Sign Kris Russell

I've heard that Russell wants to be a top defender on a team that is not that deep in defense. I think Detroit will aquire shattenkirk because they have a lot of forwards with offensive talent to deal. I think Colorado will deal Barrie to Boston for a forward (spooner, Nash, Hayes) and I high round pick, maybe 2nd or 3rd depending on the player. So that leaves Russell in Colorado where he can be a top 4 player like he wants to be

2. Deal Barrie

Barrie is a very skilled offensive defender but is not very skilled defensively. Colorado should trade Barrie for a depth forward and a high round pick.

3. Find forward depth

Colorado helped this problem a little bit by sign F Joe Colbourne but I think they still need to improve in this category. I think they should sign a player like Jooris, Jones or Pirri

The lineup would look like this after the offseason

Landeskog Duchene Iginla
Comeau Mackinnon Colbourne
Rantanen Soderberg Versteeg
Grigorenko Pirri Mitchell

Beachemin Johnson
Russell Tyutin
Weircioch Zadorov

Varlamov
Pickard.

Avalanche29

1.) 08 Jul 2016 22:21:05
Make room for Eberle++ when you deal Barrie :) . Haha.
I wish, That's all.

2.) 08 Jul 2016 23:15:25
Just read that Colorado now after McKinnon signing only has like $7.7M in cap space to sign Barrie and Grigerenko.
And they are an internal cap team? Interesting.

Colorado doest want DD, he takes up way too much cap space. Beaulieu is solid 3rd line but avs want a young, established defensman. Juulsen is good prospect but not a strong enough prospect to land to duchene. Even if you add a first to that it won't get you the 50-60 point player matt duchene.
