Edm
Virtanen

Van
Beck/Yakimov
3rd

I don't know where Virtanen is at, but he's a big right shot winger who could find success playing with one of McD, Nuge or Draisaitl.

Been reading that people have the same attitude towards him that the Oilers had with Yak. So kind of based it off that.

Eek. That smells pretty bad. Virtanen is only two years into development, give him a break.

Plus, they surely wouldn't give him to the Oilers at that price. they're rivals. Itd cost the Oilers a lot more to pry a player from a divisional rival.

2.) 10 Feb 2017 13:10:21
Values probably not that far off. Virtanen has been awful this year.

3.) 10 Feb 2017 14:02:22
Regardless how's he's been this year oil still add. Pouliot a been horrible thing year but look at his value lol. Very low.

4.) 10 Feb 2017 15:17:19
However I am a fan of virtanen and he fits the mold for the Oilers.

5.) 10 Feb 2017 15:35:18
That might not be far off on value.
Could be an ok minor league trade as all players have upside.

Edmonton:
Eberle ($1M retained)
Davidson
Yakimov
2018 1st

Minnesota
Coyle
Dumba

Doesn't make sense for minny to break up something that's rollin.

Two potential Eberle trades:

Edmonton
Eberle
2018 2nd
Oesterle
Some combo of conditional picks based on players resigning or success in the playoffs

Arizona
Stone
Hanzal
Vbrata

Would Arizona have any interest in Eberle at all? Could take out one of Hanzal or Vbrata.

Or.

Edmonton
Eberle
2018 2nd

Carolina
Skinner

BeastMode97

1.) 07 Jan 2017 06:13:29
I wouldn't do it as Carolina personally.

2.) 07 Jan 2017 07:06:58
I wouldn't do it for Oilers on both.

3.) 07 Jan 2017 08:19:50
I was never a fan of Skinner, but he's on a similar contract to Eberle, but has a great shot. Could see him finishing on Connors line with Maroon

Based on the MTL-EDM rumours

EDM
Draisaitl
Eberle
4th overall
Fayne (willing to change to Korpikoski)

MTL
Subban
Gallagher

Money is pretty close ($12.75 from MTL to $13 from EDM)

BeastMode97

1.) 24 Jun 2016 00:38:00
Stupid.

2.) 24 Jun 2016 05:16:55
Change fayne for Nurse or atleast Klefbom for the canadiens to consider

21 Jun 2016 17:33:02
Saw a similar post a couple days ago, really like the idea.

Edmonton
4th overall

Arizona
Stone
7th overall

Then.

Edmonton
7th overall
Reinhart

Winnipeg
Trouba
Lowry

End up getting 2 RHD and a 3rd line centre.

Klefbom-Trouba
Sekera-Stone
Davidson-Gryba.

Good trade. I think everyone will do that and fair for everyone. Good job.

2.) 21 Jun 2016 19:04:51
Love the first, don't love the 2nd.

3.) 21 Jun 2016 19:40:18
Where is Nurse?

4.) 21 Jun 2016 20:38:12
Gryba is a UFA and i'm 100% positive Edmonton isn't resigning him.

5.) 21 Jun 2016 20:27:43
^^Minors for at least the first half of the season. Unless he really impresses in pre season. He looked out of place last year, and playing 25mins a night in the AHL could do wonders for him.

6.) 21 Jun 2016 20:50:09
@TysonBarrie, what makes you say that? Chia went out to get him last year. Not sure how you can say that 100% positively. He has just a good of a chance signing with Edmonton as he does going to FA. If we give him a 4 year deal around $2mil I don't see how he turns that down.

What would it take from EDM to move in to #3 from CBJ?
Would something around 3 and Hartnell for 4 and Yak work? Jackets get cap relief and a chance at sparking Yaks career. What needs to be added here?

BeastMode97

1.) 23 Jun 2016 18:22:00
CBJ is trying to move cap. If EDM took Hartnell, I don't know how much more they would have to add.

2.) 23 Jun 2016 18:23:46
Not enough

Hartnell >Yak
3rd>>4th.

Assuming the Oilers trade is just a troll. Is that a safe bet?

I'd take from the Oilers.

No from the Oilers. Not giving u up 2 top 6 players for one and some futures: McLellan likes have 3 top 6 centres, so it's not going to be easy to get Nuge out of Edmonton.

If you want to talk Eberle+ for Gallagher+, maybe there's a deal to be made?

There is no way you wrote that without laughing half way through. You think the Oilers are going to give up their top 3 prospects (debatably with Jones/ Bear) and a 1st for a 31 year old, physical wear and tear player, who is still owed $38M with a high AAV?
Think a little buddy. This is either the worst case of overvaluing your own player that I have ever seen, or just a simple troll.

I'd say Davidson = Grig, Reinhart/ Oesterle = Iggy, and then Eberle+1st >> Barrie. Take out the first and it's closer. Doesn't make sense that the Oilers need to overpay, seeing as they are in a playoff position and have chemistry.

Not anything new people bringing up this trade. The second it was made, everyone knew it was bad. Reinhardt dominated in junior because of his size. The guy doesn't have a brain or foot speed to compete.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Barzal. He was so frustrating to watch. So many risky plays that lead to brutal turnovers. A high risk, high reward player.

Chabot on the other hand. Ottawa have themselves a player in him. He's big, physical, has offence and skates so smoothly.

When you make it look like Chabot+Carlo for Reinhart, that one hurts big time. Especially since you could argue both players are already better than Griffin.

I don't really have anything to say. I felt dumber just reading that. You are either intoxicated or 6 years old.
