Canes offer
Pesce
Fleury
To Avs for
Duchesne.

Canes give up some of their great def depth and a gem in Pesce for a needed scoring center who Coach Peters loves.

Honestly can see Colorado wanting more.

2.) 08 Jun 2017 23:55:12
Makes sense but like MJC said the Avs probably want more.

3.) 09 Jun 2017 05:58:14
Need more quality players if car wants duchene they have to give up one of han, salv, or faulk.

07 Jun 2017 19:10:22
Canes offer Brett Pesce and Hayden Fleury to the Avalanche for Duchesne.

Pesce is looking like he could turn into a real force but Peters has history with Duchesne and the Canes have def depth.

Carolina decides to dip into their def depth and offers
Brett Pesce
Hayden Fleury

For
Matt Duchesne.

Although Pesce is trending to be a force for years to come, the Canes may be willing to do this. Bill Peters coached Duchesne at the u18s and loved him.

One other rumour
OVi
For
Bennett
Kylington
2-1sts.

Apparently this has been offered which could mean OVi is truly on the market.

Borje

1.) 06 Jun 2017 17:00:15
An offer is an offer, doesn't mean squat. And that offer isn't close to what capitals would want, kinda hard to actually see him getting traded it would be a massive overpayment.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 17:17:42
If i am the caps i do that in instant. Bennett is a good young center or wing and kylington is a good prospect. Plus 2 1sts seals the deal. They also clear a ton of cap room.

3.) 06 Jun 2017 17:55:02
I think Caps are going to want a more established player in any return for Ovi. I like Bennett but he's jus not there yet. like McJesus says. going to be a massive overpayment. Flames should concentrate on getting a goalie before they try the Ovi deals.

4.) 06 Jun 2017 22:10:12
No it wouldn't I don't have destination dypu people. THE GUY is obviously declining big time and is not a team leader so why trade for 3w year old Russian who's more hard headed then FairTrade4all. I would give Bennet plus Kylington for him so why add two ripstop rounder.

Calgary trades Dennis Wideman and Ethan Poirier to St. Louis for Nail Yakupov and a 5th. St Louis gets some pp insurance and perhaps Poirier can get it going with a fresh start. Calgary takes a chance on Yakupov. Not much risk either way and one team may get lucky

Borje

1.) 28 Feb 2017 21:17:46
Yak is way too much of a valuable depth player for STL
-Colt.

2.) 28 Feb 2017 21:49:26
No form Calgary.

3.) 28 Feb 2017 22:39:07
No one wants Wideman.
Calgary's stuck with him.
Yak does still have upside. Going to have to offer up something else from the current roster that's worth 2.7M or greater to get back to cap compliance and to get Yak from St Louis.

Sorry.

I guess dumping Eberle is a good thing overall. Do they still need to dump Nuge? If so, will they get much for him?

Borje

1.) 22 Jun 2017 21:59:17
Dont think that they need to, but he is better than a 3rd line centre which is where he would play if Drais is on the 2nd line.
I would think that they move him, he still has value and a lot of teams are looking for centers. His contract is a bit thick so he might not get the best return, but still think it is worth doing.
Maybe trade with Mini for some defense.

2.) 22 Jun 2017 22:00:32
It was pretty unnecessary this season. Lost an easy 50 points right there. Got younger and maybe 50 point potential but the team definitely got worse IMO.

06 Jun 2017 14:22:08
Mike Bossy proposed this
TAVARES
For
Gally
Sergachev
Charlie Lingren
2017-1st

Thoughts?

Borje

1.) 06 Jun 2017 15:16:42
To much. I made a somewhat similar offer for Draisaitl without the first, but added Shaw. I value Drais higher.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 18:09:43
If he signed a solid value long term extension then sure.
But if it's just one year of him, it's an obvious no.

NYI would be so terrible up front without Tavares in my opinion.

3.) 07 Jun 2017 15:24:44
U value drais over Tavares.

03 Jun 2017 15:11:39
Here's one to ponder. Feel free to critique
Dallas trades lehtonen Honka and Ritchie
Calgary trades Dougie Hamilton

Dallas gets rid of their goalie problem and adds Hamilton to a core that wants to win now. Calgary takes a chance on another goalie but adds a great prospect and a young forward with size and skill which they need more of.

Borje

1.) 03 Jun 2017 20:03:07
Aren't you a Flames fan? This is pretty bad for the Flames.

2.) 03 Jun 2017 21:33:12
Dallas says yes, no take backs.

3.) 04 Jun 2017 20:55:14
Wtf haha that's terrible. Let's give away a stud top 4 RHD for a cap dump, a good prospect and an alright player

4.) 05 Jun 2017 14:25:59
We all knew you were clueless already Borje. Don't worry about this lost bro. All good.

It is looking like a number of first round picks from 2016 have made it to opening night. Has anyone heard what the status of Dubois is with the Jackets?

Borje

1.) 08 Oct 2016 19:58:28
He has not stood out. He was coming on here at the end of camp. The Danish kid has been better. I think he should get sent back to the Q.

2.) 08 Oct 2016 20:22:35
Hasn't been sent down yet, probably will get 9 games and sent back to junior.

3.) 08 Oct 2016 20:23:27
Also you forgot to mention something about the Oilers. I didn't even recognize it was you.

4.) 08 Oct 2016 20:42:44
This is true^.

5.) 08 Oct 2016 22:38:47
Sorry guys. Slipping. Is pooparty still with the Oilers?

6.) 09 Oct 2016 05:38:06
Yeah he's still with the Oilers. Hasn't made much of an impact but he'll probably make the team.

30 Sep 2016 18:18:19
News out of Edmonton is that the Oil are ready to move on from Yakupov for little or no return as they have him now at number 6 on the depth chart for rw. My question is, what team (s) do you think would be interested in giving him a shot and why?

Borje

1.) 30 Sep 2016 18:53:37
Where are you getting this " news "

2.) 30 Sep 2016 19:07:34
from his mom geez you didn't know that. LOL.

3.) 30 Sep 2016 19:49:46
Ryan rishaug actually.

4.) 30 Sep 2016 20:06:41
As reported in the Edmonton journal Colt.

5.) 30 Sep 2016 20:11:57
Is like to see Habs try and get him.
Who knows. as of now he's looking like Patrick Stefan. But he could become a decent top 6, and powerplay guy. i don't see him as the answer in Montreal, but maybe he could replace the offense Radulov may give Habs. Radulov will prob price himself off team.
If its cheap. why not.

6.) 30 Sep 2016 20:35:06
3rd round pick from New Jersey. Done.

7.) 30 Sep 2016 21:10:15
Caps let him be with Ovie and he may yet turn it around.

8.) 30 Sep 2016 21:28:59
Canucks trade:
-Derek Dorsett/ Alex Burrows

Oilers trade:
-Nial Yakupov.

9.) 30 Sep 2016 21:29:45
I don't mind moving on from his at all. Especially if they plan on giving a spot to Puljujarvi and think he is ready. And a contract to Versteeg (another veteran with a cup, him and Lucic only ones on the team with one) who is a very solid third liner in my opinion, way better option in that role that Yak with Eberle and Puljujarvi getting he top six roles.
I like Yaks work ethics and attitude a lot, I really really do. And I don't say those words in the same sentence as Russian players ever, But I want to move on from him for both the Oilers and so he can have a new fresh start somewhere else. I think he needs a change and the oilers need to move on.

No way that Virtanen is worth that much but he would be a player to go after. Would love Hall and Dillon but I think Hall will cost more than that.

Only one 10th overall in the last 10 years has had a similar impact. I would take the 26 year old proven player who is on a good contract.

Buffalo would have to be blown away to trade Cozens right now. If they were receiving someone who would make Eichel happy, I could see him being moved. Example would be a trade involving Gaudreau.

Laf is considered a generational talent. Take a look at previous drafts involving a generational or close to generational talent. Then look at what was picked at 3 and 5. You are never better off making that trade to move down.

King and Burke planned it. It's all part of the process. Next step is probably a visit to Seattle/ Quebec City.

No need to give up any value for Reinhart. Much better options out there.

He is eligible to sign an extension on July 1 as well with this deal in place. He will be traded to an American team asap.

Nope.
Nuge and Yak were only overrated in Edmonton. Most hockey people including myself thinks he's a pretty good number 2 center who does a good job killing penalties and is a very smart and responsible player. I took a lot of heat for ripping Yak from the Oil fans on here but as we can see by the return, it was accurate. I think Chia actually turned it into decent value. Eberle is a guy I've never had a problem with. He's a guy that can play a good complementary roll with a very good center. Edmonton has a very good center and that makes Eberle a valuable commodity to have.
