To Bos: Cam Atkinson
To Col: Second Round Pick from Philly

To Bos: Petry
To Edm: Bartkowski, Third

Could these trades work? The cap fits from Krejci on LTIR but is the value there?

Bruins1737

1.) Columbus yes, Edmonton, not quite.

Also, CBJ is a better way to say Columbus. Otherwise, it looks like Colorado

2.) The demand on Petry is high, since he's one of the biggest names being moved. I feel like Edmonton could get more

3.) Petry is good, but oilers are playing this wrong as usual, Oilers will end up with a 4th and 7th pick

4.) Where is Bartkowski getting his value? Border-line NHL defender and not a whole lot of potential. Boston adds.

Calgary: Chimera
Washington: Glencross

Bruins1737

1.) What does this do for calgary? Jason is 35

2.) Um no . .

3.) ^^What does this do for WSH? Curtis is 32.

Just a quick trade I thought of. I'm not sure if someone needs to add but leave a comment on what you think.
Toronto: Richards
LA: Phaneuf

Bruins1737

1.) 18 Jan 2015 17:53:18
LA would do it I assume since they really need a decent defenseman, I don't think TOR would do it though.

2.) Hate it as a leafs fan. No matter what you think of Dion he is a solid top 4 dman. Richards has gone down hill and is on a bad contract. If he came to toronto he would instantly become the new David Clarkson.

3.) Richards= Clarkson 2.0 . no thanks

4.) You didn't think of that.

5.) If Toronto was smart they would remove the c from Dion's jersey and tell him to play the way he did in Calgary. He had more points , a better plus minus, and he is not even half the body checker he was then. And how to fix Gardiner , put him on the wing . he says he wants to be a d-man but he is always up in the play , and looks good doing it. I say try these two things see how it goes till trade deadline then go from there.

6.) 19 Jan 2015 00:25:47
Phaneuf = Pylon 1.0

7.) 19 Jan 2015 07:15:51
@carny

he was also 8 years younger then, sure he's not old right now but if you want him to play 23-25 mins a night for the foreseeable future, like toronto does, then he can't go running around hitting everythign that moves. its called self preservation and pretty much every player does it to some degree, depending on their playing style, by the time they approach and enter their 30's.

Edm: Myers, Girgesons
Buf: Hall or Eberle
Ik this seems unlikely but look at it:
Edm gets second line centre for this year(or third depends where Roy goes) and finally gets there top pairing dman.
Buf gets a scoring winger to play with Moulson and either Macdavid or Eichel. (Or whoever they get in the draft)

Another trade.
Edm: Chara, Cunnigham
Bos: Petry and Eberle

Col:Myers
Buf: Orielly

Tor: Marleau, 2nd round pick
San Jose: Kadri

Bos: Vermette
Arizona: Spooner, islanders second round pick, Kelly

Some of these make sense and some dong but please leave a comment on what u think. Sorry for any spelling mistakes

Bruins1737

1.) No chance either Buffalo trade happens

2.) Chara(37) would never be traded for young talenttttttttttttt

3.) Marleau AND a 2nd for Kadri?!? Leafs would be the ones adding. Horrible.

4.) 08 Jan 2015 12:19:03
Wow, saying Eberle OR Hall just shows that you have no idea. Hall worth much more.
Marleau and a 2nd for Kadri. O.M.F.G.

5.) The Sharks are stacked at C. Pavelski/Couture/Thornton. They rather target a d-man if they trade Marleau. Besides that, I doubt Thornton nor Marleau will be traded anytime soon.

6.) Edm: Myers, Girgesons
Buf: Hall or Eberle
Toooooo much for Myers.
Col:Myers
Buf: Orielly
Not enough for Myers.

Peter Chirelli was seen in Buffalo and Chicago. Seems to be scouting Sharp, Bickell, Stewert, Seabrook, and Oshie. None of these players would need to much of a return (Oshie and Stewert are underachieving there expectations and Chicago needs to shed salary) so I'm thinking for Oshie and Stewert a roster player and a high draft pick (such as the flyers second round pick and Ryan Spooner) and maybe a couple of B or A prospects for the Chicago players.
Leave a comment in what you think.

Bruins1737

1.) I stopped reading after you said "none of these players would need much of a return" If they didn't teams would have already traded for them

2.) 05 Dec 2014 06:57:33
Sharp is on the IR I don't know how Chiarelli is scouting him. Also Oshie isn't on either buffalo or chicago?

3.) At the Chicago game^^^

4.) IMO Stewart could be had for a "B" prospect i.e. Ryan Fitzgerald or similar from another team and a late 2nd/ early 3rd or a "C" prospect i.e. Matt Grzelcyk.

From the first 20 games of the season I think most people can start to see every teams needs. These are just my opinions on what the team needs.
Montreal: forward
Tampa Bay: top 4 Defenseman to play while Hedman is still hurt
Anaheim: top defenseman
Penguins: two top 6 forwards
Predators: first or second line centre(who knows if the players they have now I'll continue to play well)
Islanders: top 9 forward an another defensemen
Calgary: top 9 forward
St. Louis: top 9 forward
San Jose: any defensemen
LA: a defensemen to replace voynov
Boston: any top 6 forward because they don't have a first line centre an left wing due to injuries and there rookies can't do all the heavy work.
Detroit: right shot D-Man
Chicago: a top 9 forward because of Sharps injury
Toronto: defensemen and a forward
Vancouver: depth defensemen and top 9 forward
Winnipeg: top 6 forward and defensemen
Minnesota: defensemen
Ottawa: first line centre
New Jersey: top 4 defensemen
Washington: second lie centre
Florida: top 6 forward
Rangers: top 6 forward
Dallas: backup goalie, top 9 forward, and a top pairing defensemen
Arizona: top 6 forward and a defensemen
Colorado: top pairing defensemen, and top 6 forward
Philadelphia: defensemen, and a forward to play with Giroux
Carolina: defenseman and forward
Columbus: a first line forward and defensemen
Edmonton: goalie, second line centre, first pairing defensemen
Buffalo: everything(not to be rude)
Remember these are just my opinions. Please leave a comment on what you think.

Bruins1737

1.) 24 Nov 2014 09:40:30
Hedman is coming back in like 10 days, so I don't think its too clever to trade for another defenseman now.
TB has 8 NHL-defenseman already, unless they ship Carle or Brewer out, we don't really need another D.

2.) If Hamhuis is out for awhile I'd think Vancouver would need another top 4 dman.

3.) Islanders have an abundance of forwards. They need to trade one for a picks. They need picks not forwards

4.) 29 Nov 2014 01:39:51
Centers are not the issue with Ottawa. Defensive defencemen is what they really need. IDK why everybody says that Ottawa needs a top center. Turris is not worst than a lot of top line centers
Toronto=Bozak
Montreal=DD, plekanec
NYR=Stepan
Ari=Hanzal
Cal=Monahan
Wpg=Scheifle
Clb=Dubinsky
And more

Bruins need scoring. Only scored 4 goals in 4 games. Unless there tanking for Macdavid there's something wrong with them. Anyway who would be available for them? Anybody who can score 20-25 goals a year but is affordable and won't take a big payment in return. I have a couple of guys in mind (maybe somebody like Chris Stewert although he didn't score a ton last year.)Leave a comment for who you think would be good.

Bruins1737

1.) Looks like Johnny Boychuk could at the pace he's going. And I remember Pete C. saying not too long ago, "I'm not trading Johnny Boychuk. " He didn't have to either which is the sad part. Instead of picks he could have got a scoring winger, but not a lot of teams will be giving up their goal scorers. Not for cheap anyway. Boston probably won't make a trade either unless this goes on for awhile and that's unlikely IMO. Could try offering Spooner and Fraser and maybe even a pick to STL for Schwartz, but they probably want to keep him.

This is what I think The Bruins lineup should be if thy don't sign Krug and Smith. (Which is very likely they will sign)

Lucic-Krecji- Pasternak
Marchand-Bergeron-Eriksson
Kelly-Soderberg-Fraser
Paille-Campbell-Cunningham

Chara-Hamilton
Siedenberg-Boychuk
Macquaid-Miller

Rask
Svedberg
Extra: Bartkowski, Caron,Spooner
Leave a comment on what you think. This is based on how players are doing at camp.

Bruins1737

1.) Eriksson will be on the first line IMO he got 70 pts in dallas so julien will give him a chance to repeat with kreijci and lucic

2.) Marchand-Bergeron-Lucic
Kelly-Krejci-Pastrnak
Caron-Soderberg-Eriksson
Paille-Campbell-Spooner

Chara-Seidenberg
Boychuk-Hamilton
McQuaid-Miller

Rask
Svedberg/Subban

3.) If they do sign Smith and Krug

Lucic - Krecji - Erikkson
Marchand - Bergeron - Patarnak
Kelly - Soderberg - Smith
Paille - Campbell - Fraser

Chara - Hamilton
Seidenberg - Boychuk
Krug - Mcquaid

Rask
Svedberg

I'm just wondering what would the coast be for Mike Richards and Justin Williams. Not together in a trade but separate. Leave a comment for what the cost would be for both players if either one was to be traded.

Bruins1737

1.) Thats a really tough call considering one is a former star that just had a down year and the other is normally a third liner, but just dominated the playoffs and got the Conn Smythe over Kopitar, Doughty, Gaborik, and Carter. Neither would be cheap IMO either even though Williams is soon to be ufa. My guess would be a couple above average prospects or a solid prospect and pick.

2.) 07 Sep 2014 09:25:39
West Coast, obviously.

3.) What do you mean West Coast Obviously?

4.) 07 Sep 2014 13:12:45
Twas a joke, because you wrote coast instead of cost and LA is on the west coast obviously.
Tbh, I have a really hard time valuing these players since especially Williams is much more important to LA than he could be to any other team, probably.
HGG hit it pretty good I think

I think if Colorado wants to be serious cup contenders next season (and I'm talking like Boston, Chicago, and LAs level of contemption) I think they should find another top 6 guy and a top 4 D. Possible players would include Johnny Boychuk and Bobby Ryan. Ryan I think would be a good fit playing wing with Matt Duchene. Boychuk is a good top 3 defenseman and is a great leader in the locker room. Both wouldn't cost to much because both are eligible for UFA after this season. I'm thinking a decent third line guy, package of good prospects, and a 3rd or 2nd rounder for Ryan and a third line guy with a prospect for Boychuk.
Would it be a good risk for Colorado to make a move for those two guys? I think it would. Leave a comment on what you think.

Bruins1737

1.) 31 Aug 2014 06:23:01
first off I don't think COL thinks of themselves as legit conteders as they are still a very young team. maybee in 4 years or so, but not now. also, if ryan ad bychuk were to be traded they will certainly be traded to a tea where they would be willing to sign an extension to maximize the return the team would get.

2.) 31 Aug 2014 06:53:32
Boychuk would, Ryan wouldnt, IMO.
To Boychuk: I think he'd be a good fit on their D and his acquisition price should be lower than Ryans. Think D prospect and 2nd.
To Ryan: First, the acqusition price would be hefty. I think the Sens would want the 2015 1st or even ask for ROR, whom I wouldn't want to give up. Second, from what I read Ryan might just leave as a FA for Philly, so it isn't worth giving up a lot for half a year of Ryan.

Besides that, COLs top6 is: Duchene, ROR, MacKinnon, Iginla, Landeskog + a player that is hot atm (McGinn, Tanguay, Briere)
So, you're right, there would be space for another top 6 guy, but D is the bigger need IMO.
So I'd rather go for two top4 dman.

3.) So now boychuk is worth a 2nd round pick and a prospect, yesterday drais said boychuk gets a 2nd and 7th round picks max. strange

4.) 31 Aug 2014 19:01:15
@drgonzo: what's your problem, bud? The only thing you are doing on this page is trying to bash me. don't you have bigger problems?
1. What a player fetches in return is also dependent on how big the teams need for the player is.
2. 2nd = 2nd, I didn't say good or very good prospect, only "prospect", so a low-mid prospect isn't that far from a 7th
low prospect = 6th/ 7th
mid prospect = 3rd-5th

5.) You say things that don't make sense and you get called on it like everyone else bud. if this is me bashing you then who are you to complain, how is it different then what you do to people you disagree with.

6.) 01 Sep 2014 18:27:13
As I just told you, I didn't say 2 different thing, but almost the same.
One time I said 2nd and 7th other time I said 2nd and prospect.
A lot of prospects are (barely) worth a 7th, so it's equal.
Plus, teams needs dictate the price sometimes.

7.) One day you said 2nd and 7th max. Next day it was 2 and a prospect and a lot of prospects are worth more than a 7th. Maybe say a prospect of little value next time if that's what you are implying to avoid confusion

8.) 01 Sep 2014 22:57:51
K we can agree on that one. Low prospect was what I meant, shoulda been more clear there.

*4, 5, 6 could go to any of those three teams. All three are pretty evenly matched. Maybe Colordado taking the edge.
7: St. Louis
8: This ones tuff but it's going to be either San Jose, Nashville, Or (your all going to scream at me but) I think Edmonton. I think edmonton could have a playoff year if 1: they get a number 2 centre (or somebody who could play number 1) 2: have all there new additions play some good hockey.
