Edmonton gets a young physical defesman who's proving to become reliable at the NHL level as well as a great two way depth forward. In exchange Montreal receives Nail Yakupov who's been on their radar for some time.

The main reason I'm going to say no, is because you used "young physical defenseman" and that is not what Edmonton needs. I'd rather ride it out with Yak then make this trade for these players.

I could see hossa to a team cap limit like Anaheim or Arizona since hossa where actual money over 5 years would be around 4,1,1,1,1 1mil in actual money but 5.8 mill cap hit, depending on what they actually spend.

Once the smoke blows over with Evander New York would be getting a younger high risk skilled winger as well as a pick to help restock the cupboards.

Buffalo would be getting a veteran presence who would fit nicely into the top six and woild also help guide their up and coming stars.

No way habs. Nash > Kane big time. Nash is proven player, no matter if he's on a decline or not. The guy is still very good. And Kane is still struggling to get going.
