Gives MTL a solid center and allows edmonton to put draisatl in the middle and have a RW to replace him. Also gives them a young player that can be a defensive bottom 6 center

Could be another team but NJ needs defense

Desharnais, Dsp for orlov

(with loses to gilbert and emelin in other two trades montreal needs some depth on d and washington gets a decent player that puts up points and can play in top 9 as well as a more gritty player that can replace joel ward for cheap)

Gilbert for versteeg

( almost same cap hit and adresses both team needs as chicago could use some bodies on d and montreal needs abit more skill upfront)

Emelin, 2nd for kunitz

(pittsburgh weak on d with loses of martin and erhoff and kunitz is on decline but montreal need offense and montreal can retain abit of cap hit)

I do like these trades, especially the Versteeg for Gilbert trade because that was on of the first trades I proposed on this site. The Emelin one is a bit iffy though because the Pens already got a defenceman similar to Emelin in Scuderi. So idk if that trade would happen only because of him. Plus I think the Canadiens would need to retain on Desharnais (1mil maybe).

And for the Lineups I would think that Gallagher would switch with Semin so that the top line has that hard forechecker to get the puck for Pacioretty and Galchenyuk, plus Semin woul have a great person to set him up in Plakenec.

And Montreal should let their best prospects wait in the AHL instead of rushing them.

Plekanec, emelin, 1st for oreilly, mcginn

Mtl gets offensive help and younger and colorado gets defensive help without losing offense because plekanec can fill in nice behind duchene. They also get a nice pick

Desharnais, gilbert, thomas 2nd 2016 for mikko koivu

Min gets a youger and cheaper center with similar production. Mtl gets a bigger center that can replace plekanec and it would be nice to see a koivu back in a mtl jersey

I like it too, just I don't want to see eller on the third and dlr on the 4rth. Trade Eller to Edmonton for a 2 3rds. Put DLR on the 3rd, Mitchy on the 4rth and hudon scratched. But I really like the Koivu one, O'rielly and bordeleau would be more beleivable. but nice post tho

They can't take that much money back with the cap. Maybe could take Desharnais, then flip him.

Sorry mate but Koivu is a chump one of the worst contract in the nhl right there with phaneuf!

Scherback is not ready for first Line

Oreilly is good but bether player come cheaper in Edmonton for a lesser price
