Deadline is tomorrow and the Bruins are itching to make a deal, they make a blockbuster deal by sending

F- Loui Erikkson

D- Joe Morrow

G- Malcom Subban

+ 1st round pick (2015)

To

Edmonton Oilers

for

F- Jordan Eberle

D- Jeff Petry

The move benefits both teams. Boston gets a proven winger who can and will score goals and get you a good amount of points and bring in a right shot defencemen who will really contribute to the team. Edmonton gets a veteran winger who was a 30+ goal scorer in Dallas but didn't work in Bostons system aswell as a young defencemen, a goalie prospect and a draft pick. Not sure if it works with salary cap, but if it does, then I think its a very good deal both ways.

1.) Petry is gone to Montreal now

Vancouver Trades: Frank Corado & 3rd Round pick

to

Ottawa: for Marc Methot

Canucks need defense, and Methot is someone who will stay at home and play defense.

Also

Canucks Trade: Kassian & 2nd Round pick (2016)

to

Boston for: Loui Erikkson

Both players are in need of a fresh start. Erikkson hasn't been the player that he was in Dallas and Kassian hasn't developed in Vancouvers system. Kassian would be a good fit for a physical team like Boston and Erikkson would compliment Vancouvers skilled players.

1.) That Ottawa trade makes absolutely NO sense for Ottawa. Why would they give up Methot for another D prospect who was drafted 5th round? Ottawa could get way more for Methot if they decide to move him.

2.) Vancouver doesn't want Erikkson.

In order for the previous trade by Boston to work they would have to make another trade or place someone on waivers to free up the cap space. Dennis Seidenberg has been rumored to be moved and would free up 4 Million in cap room.
