3 trades I can see the Leafs making this week:
1) Leafs: Tyler Bozak
Jets: Chris Thorburn, 2016 4th pick and
2017 3rd pick
2) Leafs: Peter Holland
Rangers: 2016 4th round pick (ARI)
3) Leafs: Bernier (0-50% retained)
Devils: 2016 6th round pick
-Leafs get cap space.
-Jets get a solid 3rd line center and they got the cap space to pay him next 2 years.
-Rangers can sign Holland cheap and play in on the bottom 6 no problem.
-Devils finally get a good backup goalie for Cory Schneider and they got 27M in cap space so Bernier's contract wouldn't bother them.

Te Devils may actually take Bernier considering who do they have for a back up? As well reaching the cap floor I see no retention happening it Benefits them more then us. Bozak isn't a fit in WPG same be said for Holland in NY values aren't terrible.

I would love the Leafs to do this strictly on the basis of freeing up cap.

Devils shouldn't really be wasting assets on goaltending, when it is the least of their problems.

Leafs: 1st overall pick
Ari: 7th overall pick, 2nd round pick, Strome, Domi, and Dvorak
I doubt Leafs trade Matthews but just wanna see what u all think of this cause Bob MacKenzie said this is what Ari would have to offer the Leafs.
I personally think Leafs stick with Matthew then have all those players because we got quantity but don't have that franchise center.

Leafs: Brendan Leipsic, Rinat Valiev, 2016 2nd round pick (TOR), and 2016 4th round pick (COL)
Avs: Barrie
Leipsic can play on bottom 6 next season and Vailey is a solid dman prospect and Col saves money for now to resign MacKinnon and get 2 picks in the process.
And for Leafs they got such a keep prospect pool and picks this year that it wouldn't be a problem and they get a dman to play with Rielly.

It's actually not terrible to what might some think IMO Leipsic is going to be a top 6F I find Barrie overated would rather Vatanen.

Im a leafs fan and i see no way Habs do this. And btw Leafs have Sharks 2018 3rd round pick, not 2016.
