As a Habs fan. i'd do this all day everyday. but this will never happen. Carr is a bottom 6 and Beaulieu looks like he isn't going to be the replacement for Markov that I was hoping.
So if Bergevin could figure out how to make it work in the Cap. and sucker T. O to doing it. Great. back to reality. not happening.

Patches is a better guy to have on a top line when he's your go to guy that all your offence runs through. Obviously he's going to put up numbers on the habs, they have no one else that can score. Coyle is a big all round good player that doesn't put up big numbers but never hurts you either. I wouldn't give up patches straight up for coyle today, but to say patches>>>>> is dead wrong. Did you watch the World Cup? When pacioretty wasn't the go to guy that everyone had to give the puck to Everytime he was on the ice, he was terrible. If he's not scoring, he's doing nothing. Well other than assisting on 2 of Canada's goals and one of Europes.

Patches + Juulsen + 2nd i'd say equal Kuch if not are more valuable than him, Juulsen is a decent d prospect who could pan into a top 4, Patches is a legitimate 40 goal scorer so yea (although he is a UFA so i get the point made that maybe TB doesn't add) Gallagher > Killorn due to his playing nature, and his point totals over the past years.
Honest though, trading Kucherov to a divisional rival isn't TBs goal of the summer, so what's the REAL incentive for them? An offer for Kuch should be mind blowing - so really if Patches was signed for longer term then yes, but since he isn't there just isn't one for TB. And montreal doesn't make the trade because it really doesn't improve any aspect of them (prospect wise, scoring wise)

Most of what top shelf said wasn't bad except patches is not a ufa he still has 3 years left on a wonderfully priced contract. Kucherov on the other hand depending on what kind of contract he signs possibly 6 mil plus per year. may actually have less value then patches eventhough some people would not admit to it cause they think he is among the best players to ever lace them up. He's a good player playing on a real good line in a pressure less environment but 66 pts doesn't make him " easily" better then a player who has put up equally decent seasons with david desharnais as his center.

Kucherov has now been Tampas best forward for two years in a row on a team featuring Steven Stamkos. They have equal career-highs in points (67 vs 66) and Kucherov is much younger, therefore still has potential.
Kucherov > Pacioretty > Gallagher > Killorn.

Kuch is the best player in the deal. Patches is a hell of a player Kuch just has a better all around game. Like Drais said he's stuck out on a team featuring Stamkos. Not that it affects the trade value but i wouldn't want Gallagher on my team same way i wouldn't want Marchand. He prides himself on dirty hits and running goalies i'd rather play with class. He is young only 24 but he will experience a sharp Callahan like decline likely about the time Callahan deal ends. Anyway. Kuch is a better player than Patches but Patches has an amazing contract. Killer is a fantastic 2 way and character player that turns it on in the playoffs. Gallagher is an effective player who gets under other teams skin but i could never cheer for Marchand 2.0. I don't see much special in Juulsen and 2nd would ebd up a late second.

First off he's been better then stamkos only because by his standards stamkos has sucked the last two years. second I wouldn't have cared if you had just said kucherov was the best player in the deal. But you had to be a biased moron like always when it comes to comparing Tampa players with habs players.3rd you forget the point I made about kucherov actually having line mates who are good players as we'll. @ jbs kucherov better all around then patches? explain why please.

Kuch is better than patches. but I'd like to see patches play along side stammer. They might even out a bit more under those circumstances but the big unknown is really the cost of a new Kuch contract. Patches is still under a great deal and with Kuch probably landing something much larger I think patches value will be better.
