Who do you think has the deepest prospect pool? And explain why. (People who have played 25 or less games in the Nhl/ just finished their first season )

I'd say Toronto because we have Nylander, Marner, Matthews (eventually), there are also very underrated players like soshnikov, Brown, Leipsic, Hyman. The list goes forever, Who can top that?

Leafs definitely have a nice prospect group but not nearly the deepest. Top 5 F prospects possibly but are lacking on the blue line and in goal. Look at a deal like Winnipeg. Very deep prospect pool.

Lol you're a leaf fan lol! Another leaf fan trying to make a point for an hopeless case! You only got marner and nylander as of now!

I like phillies prospect proporov konecky sandheim just to name a few

I like jets prospect has well Connor morissey rosvlic

But at least you're not the worst of them

Rangers don't got a thing
Oilers with all there finishing bottom don't have a good prospect ether.

I'd say Winnipeg for sure has the most promising of pools, they have a plethora of young talent which doesn't include the young stars already playing like Ehlers and Sheifele.

Boston has to be top 10, they have mid-above average prospects across the board with Senyshyn, Debrusk, Gabrielle, JFK and some of their better college forwards like Heinen, Czarnik. Some strong 2-way Defence prospects in Zboril, Carlo, Arnesson, O'Gara and more offensive threats in Grezlcyk and Lauzon. In net they have Vladar Mcintyre and Subban (Hopefully he recovers well) .

I'm going to say winnepeg. They have good prospects everywhere, in net (hellybuck) on d (Morrissy) and on forward (Connor) add laine to that, and a lot of other good prospects and in a few years they will be very competetive.

Prospects are worthless unless you develope them.

6.) 11 May 2016 03:44:29
@MTLFinest

Are you just hating on the Oilers because they are starting to get better than Montreal? Or are you still mad that you didn't make the playoffs?

7.) 11 May 2016 05:36:39
Columbus. Bjorkstrand, Milano, Werenski, Rychel, Bittner and a few good young goalies I think. I don't know I like the Jets, Jackets, Coyotes, Flyers for prospects.

8.) 11 May 2016 05:54:25
Silly exercise, a leafs fan just wanted to post about leafs prospects.

9.) 11 May 2016 12:33:55
Winnipeg easily, Toronto is up there.

10.) 11 May 2016 15:20:16
TOR is loaded with middle tier forward talent (Kapanen, Soshnikov, Hyman, Leipsic, Brown etc. ) . So in that respect, they may be the top team. They do Not as much top end talent as other teams though.

It's also tough bc so many teams are using their prospects as everyday players (EDM, FLA, CAL etc. ), so you have to consider that.

11.) 11 May 2016 15:40:58
I mention the rangers too I'm just saying the thruth naw men you're still years back from the back! I just font like how the team have disgrace the sport of hockey by being so wreak.

12.) 11 May 2016 22:44:36
I'd say Winnipeg easily but Columbus with Puljujjarvi is good too and like you said Toronto is pretty good. IMO after this draft Winnipeg will have have the deepest pool and Toronto as a close 2nd.

13.) 12 May 2016 23:03:12
There's a reason a lot of the other teams have so many prospects. They tanked for years at a time. Edmonton isn't alone in this regard. Lightning, Buffalo, Arizona, Florida, and even the Kings, Hawks, Penguins. They just did it along time ago and most people don't remember.

If you have the 1st-4th overall pick, you tanked. It generally means that after the trade deadline hit, it was already over and done and you mailed in the games.

Detroit, the Devils, and maybe Boston are possibly the only exceptions here. Perennial bubble teams that occasionally excel.

The lottery might hopefully help curtail tankers, but I doubt it.
