According to rumours T.J. Oshie is on the block and Ottawa is interested.

St. Louis trades:
-Oshie

Ottawa trades:
-Stone
-Wiercioch
-Michalek
-Dallas 2015 2nd

Ottawa forward lines
MacArthur-Turris-Oshie (killer line)
Hoffman-Zibanejad-Ryan
Lazar-Legwand-Chiasson
Greening-Pageau-Condra

Lazar_27

1.) Nice hybrid of my earlier post, the only reasons I didn't include Michalek and Weircioch, are that St. Louis does not need Weircioch at all, he could be held on to or traded elsewhere. Michalek has term and a large-ish cap hit, basically an older under performing Oshie.

After reading comments here and on my post I would think something more like this:

To St Louis: Chiasson, Prince, Condra, 2015 2nd (Ottawa)

To Ottawa: Oshie, Conditional 5th round pick 2016- if Prince plays 45 games.

2.) I don't see oshie being traded during the season while they are contending for a cup unless the return was highly In the blues player.

I could see Berglund traded before playoffs but once again unless its the off season I the blues would have to have an offer they couldn't refuse. Every one is valuable during the cup run. FYI I do like chiasson.

You are correct the blues do not need another defense man we actually have a log jam

to the previous poster. The blues do not need to make cap room. THe cap raises 4 mill/. B jackman will resign for 1 mil freeing up about 2. 6, Ott will be gone. 2.5 mill freed up. everyone else is signed or on entry levels. that's that's 9 millon to work with. That's the nice thing about Armstrong as a GM no bad contracts on thebooks

3.) Correct me if I am wrong, but is Tarasenko not a FA? One that is going to be demanding a huge pay raise. They have enough center depth that they could move a guy like Backes to RW. Oshie comboed with a decent prospect could bring in a good #1 center. Yes Lehthra is doing well with Tarasenko and Schwartz, but adding a good #1 center would put the blues over the top. Just my 2¢.

4.) 28 Dec 2014 06:18:51
tarasenko is a free agent, but restricted. so the raise will be quite a lot less than he woulda get if unrestricted obviously.

id assume he gets a deal similar to johansen did this past offseason, maybee slightly less.

5.) I know he is an RFA, but the guy is top 5 in the league for both goals and points. Armstrong would be stupid to not get him locked up long term regardless of the cost. Tarasenko has gotten better and better every year and now is one of the best pure goal scorers in the league. Like I said package Oshie, a prospect, and a 1st and get him and Schwartz a legit top line center to play with moving forward. It would make the Blues that much more deadly having depth up and down the lineup.

6.) Do you not realize that Lethra is performing like a top rate center. You should actually watch a blues game before you say tings like this. The cap rises 4 mil, jackman is at the end of his contract. He is going from 3. 65 to 1 mil We have 5 Great young guys ready to come into the league. Jaskin (f), Rattie (f), Fabbri (c, f) Barbashev (f), Peteri Lindbohm (d) and all under entry level contracts. (not to say they will all make team next year). Only two players I see getting raises are Allen and Frank (tarasenko). tarasenko will probably get 4-6 mil a year as a bridge deal until his last year as a RFA and then will get whatever he wants.

Ottawa trades:
-Mika Zibanejad

Edmonton trades:
-Nail Yakupov

Why?
Trading Zbad allows Lazar to step in as a center this year and Sens add a scoring threat. Edmonton get a consistent scorer who could easily take their second line center job

Lazar_27

1.) Actually a great trade.

2.) I would puke if we did that. Not that Yakupov is a bad player, or that this isn't good value, but Zibanejad is showing some great progress and potential despite playing on the bottom six. I don't like the look of Yakupov's attitude or progress in the NHL so far, but he's still a phenomenal young player in my opinion.

Bottom line: It's too early for BOTH teams to trade these young guns. Let them reach 25 or something before making a decision.

3.) That's a good trade. Maybe OTT adds a 3rd or 4th though.

4.) 06 Sep 2014 17:06:38
finally a decent yak to OTT trade lol.

5.) Ottawa wouldn't do that. A potential 1/2 c who has shown great top six ability in rw as well for yak, ottawa wouldn't do it

6.) Much better idea than most of what I see on here good post

Ottawa trades:
-Colin Greening
-Mike Hoffman
-Patrick Wiercioch
-3rd 2016

Chicago trades:
-Patrick Sharp

Why?
This takes off a chunk of salary for Chicago and also gives depth. If Chicago were to trade Oduya or Leddy to free up even more cap Wiercioch could replace them in the lineup. Ottawa gets a two-way too six forward that can score

Ottawa lineup:
MacArthur-Turris-Ryan
Sharp-Legwand-Chiasson
Michalek-Zibanejad-Stone
Condra-Smith-Neil

Methot-Karlsson
Cowen-Ceci
Phillips-Borowiecki/Gryba

Anderson-Lehner

Chicago lineup:
Saad-Toews-Hossa
Greening-Richards-Kane
Bickell-Kruger-Hoffman
Morin-Handzus-Versteeg

Keith-Seabrook
Hjarlmarsson-Leddy/Wiercioch
Oduya/Wiercioch-Rosival

Crawford-Raanta

Lazar_27

1.) No way chicago does this.

You won't get a 80 pts player for bottom paring defensman and bottom 3 players

2.) I cannot believe you actually posted this

SHARP WONT BE TRADED FOR SCRAPS

3.) Make it a 2016 first. And to Cd1, Sharp is only an 80 point player because he plays with Toews and Hossa all year.

4.) Sharp is an Olympian and can create plays just as well as scoring and is one of the best defensive forwards out there. going to take more than that.

Just thinking a trade that could be good organisationally for the Sens and Lightning.

Shane Prince, LW, 21 (Ottawa)
For
Adam Erne, LW, 19 (Tampa)

Prince was an offensive force in his last years of junior but was disgruntled with playing time in Bingo. Erne shows promise as a power forward but hit Drouin from behind so trading him would avoid tension.

Thoughts?

Lazar_27

1.) 13 Aug 2014 06:38:38
Nice try. Erne is worth more than Prince, he was a steal at #33, Tampa won't trade him.

2.) Tampa needs a rugged pf like erne after buying malone and losing toughness this offseason. Ie. Labrie and crombeem. So Tampa declines .

3.) 13 Aug 2014 18:02:12
Lmao. Rip offffff. Erne only becomes a 80 overall in nhl 14, nub trade

4.) Bad deal for Tampa, you have overvalued your teams player.

5.) Yeah Erne was a great pick at that spot. I was hoping for him or DeLarose that year but instead we got Gauthier. Tear

Ottawa trades: Bobby Ryan
To
Philadelphia for: Jakub Voracek

IMO Ryan has a higher value but it's his contract year and i'd rather trade for less than loose him for nothing

Thoughts?

Lazar_27

1.) An under contract Ryan would likely work, but in this case Ottawa needs to add. Voracek is producing at a lower cap hit. Why give that up for a guy who may not re-sign?

2.) 12 Aug 2014 20:32:04
yea i'd say OTT add a mid pick

3.) Yeah I agree Sens add unless Ryan has a contract
