Nylander has the potential to score 40 goals in the NHL and has chemistry with the leafs best player that we haven't seen on the leafs in decades. Sundin didn't have that kind of chemistry even with any single player. You're nuts if you would move that unless it's a sure thing superstar coming back (not one.

wow! if Duchene could be had for scraps he would already be traded. plus even if the 1st in that 2nd trade was 1st overall that package wouldn't get you kucherov. man. this is about as one sided I've ever seen.

I was saying the same thing with ppls Pasternak offers before he resigned, you don't trade elite young players for a package unless you believe one of those young players coming back has a legit chance of replacing him down the road. JVR would replace some of his offence for this year and then he's a free agent. Kapanen will be an NHL player but I don't think he has game breaking ability, more of a solid middle 6. And Bracco is a huge (or tiny at 5'6'' or whatever he is) question mark. The pick should be 20-30. That can't be the return unless you're stuck and he wants out which doesn't seem to be the case.

Sorry, I mixed the two trades. Dermott instead of Bracco, but still same point to be made. He's far from a sure thing to justify trading a 25 year old superstar.

Also just looked at line combos and see that leafs added Duchene and kucherov to an already stacked offence while only losing JVR off the NHL roster and zach Hyman still has a top six role haha only reason he's top 6 is his chemistry with Matthews. If he's not with Matthews he's 4th line.

Makes no sense for Tampa or for leafs. Leafs have great depth for the first time in a long time. Not saying I wouldn't love Kuch, he's great, but leafs aren't going to be injury free forever. Trading depth for one guy will hurt eventually. And Tampa needs more quality to move him.

so.3 of calgary's top defensive prospects, a young center with loads of potential still, one of their top young defenseman, and 2 vets, for 3 players. why would calgary do this? overpayment. i think Valimaki and andersson will both be better than barrie in a few years and i don't see calgary giving up on bennett or hamilton any time soon.

The Tripelets. Dougie continues to improve and could be a top 10 d man in the NHL this season. Bennett has the ability to surprise this season. They aren't in desperate need of Kucherov and the team is doing well. Why change that? It's not like Calgary is getting an absolute steal. Name the list of 50 point defenseman 25 and under, I'll wait.

Bad trade to use Kylington. Maybe just send Brouwer and a pick for a lower pick. Could use Kylington in a better package like for Duchene cause Calgary has been pursuing him hard.
Maybe a trade that sends Andersson + Kylington + Brouwer + small add to Colorado for Duchene. Brouwer is getting trade but nobody has giving sources but he is for sure gone. Multiple sources.
