I can't see Anaheim giving up on Zegras. and to take Nylander may create havoc on their salary. cap structure evrn though they could probably afford him.

Pretty positive the Ducks want to unload Zegras. He was available at the deadline and likely will be this offseason as well. Nylanders's contract would screw the Ducks in the long run when Carlsson, McTavish, Terry, etc. need new deals.

Zegras might be on the trade block this summer considering the Ducks have an abundance of young talent at forward even without him.
But Ducks fans would riot if Verbeek traded 2 futures for Nylander and Robertson.
Also Nylander has a no movement clause in his new contract and likely wouldn't waive it to be traded to Anaheim.

- your trades are the absolute worst on this site, because you ONLY post leaf-homer trades while pretending to be a fan of another NHL trades. (There’s other guys that post leaf-homer trades, but they’re open and out there as leaf die-hards. At least they’re honest about who they are. )
- your Zadorov trade ignores the fact that VCR traded two picks TWO MONTHS ago and it’s been a great fit for the team and the player. Why in the world would VCR trade him for an older player who is a cap dump at this point?

You think the leafs would do that without retention? You might think the leafs are awful but any idiot should be able to know that the leafs ownership group believes they are contenders. There is no possible incentive the leafs could get that’d get them to take on Campbell.

Teams rebuilding don't usually want to sign a guy to a 7-8 year contract. Plus laying a guy to sometimes play is an issue.

As a Habs fan I believe this trade is not overly inclined in one direction. Could be worst, Leafs may need a better sweetener then Robertson 2 get Pow or a pick on top.

Nylander is a 27 year old winger with 1 year left on his contract. Robertson is an unproven, undersized, injury prone 22 year old who has played a total of 82 games split between the AHL/NHL over the past 3 seasons. Power is 20 years old and was drafted #1 overall in 21'. He is a big 6'6 skilled defensemen going into his second pro season. You actually think Buffalo or any team takes an offer like that? Even with Nylander extended it wouldn't be close.

JAnderson: 1 year of Nylander before he hits the market as a UFA & oft-injured former/ small prospect Robertson does not get you Owen Power, regardless of who you cheer for.
Consider:
- Owen Power is only 20, yet had 35 points in 79 games, showing why he was drafted 1st overall.
- At 6-6, 214, the kid is a monster who can skate, and is a +38 in his first 87 NHL games.
Power has come as advertised, and I would suggest that aside from the most die-hard leaf fans that this is not a credible trade offer. BUF has a serious piece in Power, and through years of mediocrity have really built a compelling young core prospect group.
