Sorry Ottawa, Ryan's 7+ M signed for 2 forevers contract is yours to deal with / buy out. No one in their right mind wants this contract unless there's heavy retention.
Only way to make this work would be:
1. 80% retention by Ottawa on Ryan ( No exceptions )
2. Delete untouchable vegas draft exempt Nurse and add Benning,
Osterle or other prospect D.
3. Delete the tenders from the deal. Edmonton will pick up Condon
on waivers for nothing.
4. Ottawa adds a 1st or 2nd rounder in 2018 pending which Dman
they want ( Benning = 1st prospect = 2nd)

This is definitely not a trade that Edmonton does, but strictly because of Chabot Ottawa wouldn't do this either. I would like to think he's untouchable right now as their top prospect.
Also, I could be wrong here, but isn't the maximum retention possible at 50% of the contract?
