For some reason Hanafin is papenrently on the trade market as well. Personally I think the is worth way more then a guy like Trouba. H e as the potential to become the next Ryan Suter or maybe even better. Mtl would be a good fit for Hanafin especially be cause caanes are looking for a forward. I wasn't crazy about the idea of getting a d but if it's Hanafin it's different.

My last Gally trade and I think its re best of all trades including Gally that I proposed. Especially because Duchene is on the trade market list ATM. Also because Avast are looking for a second line middle age left defenseman to play with either Johnson or Barrie. ( Prob Johnson) Zadorov is not ready for that task but I think Beaulieu is not ready to be a top 2 yet but could use a year or to as a top 4 and then evolve.
Mtl: Gallagher, Beaulieu,2rd pick 2017,3rd pick,2018,
Avs: Duchesne, Zadorov.

Bud Gallagher and Duschene are worth close to the same ( plus a 2 round pick from mtl) and then Beaulieu and 3rd pick is enough to get Zadorov. Zadorov is good but he's a long term project and Col guy to play with Barrie. Its a no trainer for both teams you uneducated ***.

Its hard to do., that's why i rarely make proposals. I can't always separate the 2.
Although Gallagher is a good player, he's not on the same level as Duchesne. it would cost the Habs a fortune to get someone of his caliber. I think Habs are going to be more into smaller deals. I could see if Montreal was really struggling with even Price in net, doing a big shake up.

I still think Mtl could afford getting rid of a player like Gallagher to get a more offensive player on the second line ( because I think Patches is going to play on the first line once he gets his rytim back. Since the hockey in the West is more physical that's were Mtl could get the best price for Gally. How bout this :

No deal I'd rather take the extra million for Eberle and get Slepishev. I wouldn't trade Gallagher for Eberle even if Eberle only take like 5 million cap hit with the million off. Ita hard to get players like Gallagher but their is a lot silky hands winger in the league ( not that it's so easy to get but it not logic to trade Gallagher for Eberle straight up its just not enough value from Edmonton. plus Gally is 3 years younger. ) However I would do that:

That's the most reasonable trade I've seen come from Mtl fans involving the Oilers in a long time.
In spite of it being a reasonably fair trade. Edmonton shouldn't do it till after the Vegas draft as they have their 3 protected D already and don't want to lost Emelin to Vegas for nothing.

I instant why you guys don't wanna trade a guy like Gallagher even to get a great offensive player like Skinner. Montreal however are not doing good offensively and it would be even worse without Radu. If Mtl wants to go anywhere far in the post season they need a top 6 player that does what Radu does on the first line and Gallagher is not doing that anymore.

Skinner's off to a great start fpr the Canes: 17 points in 19 GP. Gallagher's no slouch, and he does so much for the habs so I don't know why u wanna get rid of him, but he's off to an average start offensively. Canes need Skinner because he's their best Offensive player. Habs need Gallagher because he's their best all around player.

Why would Toronto give their best prospect after Matthews for a guy that was free agent and got an crazy freebagent get contract plus he's barely a top six player in every team in the NHL and he's hockey sense isn't not that great. Overall one of the worst trade in history of the world and the atmosphere.

I think your Gallagher trade for Hamilton is decent ling term, however I believe that to make a better rn Montreal needs a better offense. With the group of best players being in their prime age ( Patch, Price, Weber ECT) I think Montreal needs to make their team better in offense and not think too far ahead. Because let's be honest if it wasn't for those reason I would take Dougie anyday of the week especially with Weber being able to make him better and help him develop.
