New York Islanders:
Brock Nelson+David Quenneville

Minnesota Wild:
Jonas Brodin+5th pick (2019)

With Boychuk aging, Islanders could use defensive help. Minnesota could use some extra scoring and Nelson's contract isn't as much a burden.

And Minnesota does this why?

Calgary-Minnesota
Wideman-Kuemper

Calgary needs to have a good goalie in the future and Kuemper has the potential to be a number one if given a chance that he would not get in Minnesota with Dubnyk in front of him. The Wild need to win now and when Wideman gets back from his suspension there will still be fifteen games left in the season enough for him to give Minnesota a good playoff push.

Carolina needs a makeover:
Trade 1

Eric Staal (50% salary retain)

Flames:
1st. pick
Lance Bouma
Oliver Kylington

Trade 2
Hurricanes:
John-Michael Liles

Blue Jackets:
Matt Calvert.

1st trade is somewhat believable, Carolina adds in second trade.

Why would either of the teams do these trades? Why would NYI move Griffin for 3rd overall? Lateral move at best. And CGY will NOT move Ortio, certainly not for Grabner. He's not what they need.

2.) 03 Jun 2015 13:23:41
Way rather have the 3rd then G.Reinhart, like you said he hasn't shown improvement

Edmonton---------NYIslanders
Scrivens-----------2ndPick

Edmonton-----------Boston
2ndPick-------------Svedberg

NHLnerd

1.) ??

First off, why wouldn't oilers just trade Scrivens to Boston and skip the middle-man? Second, if any goalie is going to be moved from Edm it's Fasth.

1.) Pretty bad.
Pretty, really bad. Especially for the Oilers.

2.) Buffalo would easily finish last if they do this trade.

3.) Awful trade for Ottawa. The Sens organization is anticipating that Lehner is going to become there next starting goaltender in the near future and to be the starter for years to come. Also Gordon isn't even close to what they're looking for up front, very bad.

4.) ^^^^ what benn14 said

5.) Don't think they'd mind McDavid^ there already on there way. Not saying they'd do the trade or anything

Honestly, as an Islanders fan I say yes, Tavares has been only mediocre these past couple years and they'll probably have to overpay or watch him walk.

Fowler has a good chance to be plucked by Vegas anyways so this trade is actally quite realistic in my view.

Hoffman at the moment has 48 points, Saad only has 41. Additionally Puempel and the second pick could both turn out. Even more Ottawa has to take on another big contract. I do not think that this trade would work, Ottawa get ripped off.
