Love Nielsen, but he's not a 1st line C
2.) Where is Derek Roy?
3.) I don't think Nielsen is a #1C but neither is Ribiero anymore. The isles should move a forward bc Anders Lee is about to have a break through year & shouldn't be on the 4th line. Plus they get a solid young D & a 2nd rounder to help make up for their lost 1st

1.) Desharnais is worth Ribiero OR Bourque, not both, and definitely not both and a pick. He's on a line with Pacioretty, how could he not better than he is?
2.) Impossible that ribiero comes to mtl after his problems this year. MB would never let a guy like this in mtl
3.) ^Desharnais went 5 games with 7 points without Pacioretty playing. He may not be a #1 center but he definatley is a good 2nd line C.
4.) Well I guess we should value him based on a selective 5 games, huh? Gimme a break. He's not worth a package like that at all.

1.) Just trade two defensemen who we just signed and resign and desperately need for a 2/3 centre and a wash-up bust
2.) I have to agree, and I am an islanders fan. Like NYI Edmonton needs their defense man.
However although Hickey will never live up to being drafted 4th overall he is hardly washed up. At 25 years old he is coming off his second NHL season and played quite well, he was a plus player for a team that did not have many. He is a 3rd pairing D-Man only due to his size, if he was bigger he would be a 2nd pairing player.
3.) This would make the oilers defence even more rubbish.i didn't think it was possible. No from Edmonton.

Mattias Ekholm should be on the team instead of Bartley IMO. & Paul Gaustad is a big part of the team also. Move Jokinen to #4 RW & Gaustad at #4 C

I think what you're giving for 2nd overall pick has more value then what you're giving for 1st overall pick. Swap the two & the value may be closer
Oilersblue1707, according to sources, Mayfield is similar to Marincin (I think Marincin is better). And I think the oilers would much rather Nielsen as a #2 C (they're weak down the middle) than Petry. I'm not saying this trade would go through, but Marincin isn't untouchable. If the isles added a pick or two, or maybe just another prospect, the trade would definitely have a chance.
Islanders have an abundance of forwards. They need to trade one for a picks. They need picks not forwards
