3 team trade

NYR trade:
McDonaugh
Spooner

WPG trade:
Trouba
Petan
Stanley
1st 2018

TML trade:
JVR
Carrick
Bracco
2nd 2018

NYR acquires:
Petan
Bracco
Stanley
1st 2018
2nd 2018
WPG acquires:
McDonaugh
JVR
Carrick

TML acquires:
Trouba
Spooner

Not sure on the actual value of some of the players, but I feel the trade makes sense for each team. Rangers get picks and prospects, Jets get top LHD and top 6 winger and a RHD for the bottom pairing, Leafs get a top 4 RHD with elite potential and a speedy forward that can fit anywhere up and down the line up.

So the Jets are trading Trouba, Petan, Stanley and a 1st for McD and two players we don't need at all. No thanks, don't call back.

Is it just me, or is Nick Petan pretty much in every rumour pertaining to the Jets.

Arizona trades Boedker St. Louis trades Steve Ott (cap dump), Pheonix Copley (goalie prospect), a 2nd and a 4th. Both picks conditional. If St. Louis reaches cup final Arizona will receive 1st not 2nd and the 4th will now stay with the blues. So could eventually be: Boedker for Ott, Copley, and a 1st. Fair trade in my opinion.

So let's just say Edmonton still finishes near the bottom (which I personally don't see happening with McDavid's return bringing a huge boost to the team) . Let's just say they win the lottery. again. They have the choice of getting Auston Matthews. Instead of that they trade that 1st overall pick. This is my personal thought on what they should do. To Tampa: 1st overall pick (likely Matthews), Fayne and Slepyshev, and a 3rd in 2017 To Edmonton: Drouin, Deangelo, Carle and 1st round pick from Tampa which should be in the 20-30. Likely 25-30 but anything can happen. Hopefully it's close, if not I'm sure you guys will all tell me. I know it doesn't really fill Tampa's needs, but I feel getting rid of Carle's contract and taking on a slightly better but still bad contract in Fayne and getting rid of a headache like Drouin would be good for them, while getting a prospect which they've compared to being around the same level as Eichel. Edmonton fills a need with a up and coming RHD with great potential and a forward with skill and apparently attitude. So anyways let the ripping begin.

Edm can do better than that maybe the 1st overall for Hedman if tampa would do that because that's fair value.

2.) 06 Feb 2016 18:17:12
I wouldn't do Matthews for that whole package. With a piece like that there is no reason not to acquire an established or at least potential top 2 dman. Drouin, DeAngelo and the 1st are a whole lot of question marks. And Carle wouldn't be any help at all.

3.) 06 Feb 2016 18:17:25
Tampa won't trade Hedman. Edmonton would in this position drop in the draft to 3rd or 4th overall to draft Chychrun. Edmonton has no use for Drouin.

Hedman > Matthews.

@Drais

Jesus, dude. I'm screen shotting this and by this time next year I'll be sure to send a link over to you.

Hedman better than Matthews?!

Stammer2Leafs Hedman is a top 5-10 D man in the league. Matthews looks like hell be great but it's a lot to say he's better than Hedman right now.

8.) 07 Feb 2016 09:12:08
Right now? Laughable, not even close. Hedman is a difference-maker at the NHL level, a top 5 defenseman in the league. Matthews is super talented but he isn't even close to Hedman. Hedman is still fairly young, too, so easy choice to keep Hedman. Easy.

9.) 07 Feb 2016 15:30:42
High quality defenders don't grow on trees. They already have a stacked forward group, and no reason to trade Hedman. I agree with Drais.

First time posting, I'm an avalanche fan, so this trade proposal isn't biased. I welcome your input, if I undervalue anyone or overvalue I'm sorry.

Toronto trades: JVR

Chicago trades: Bickel, Dano, Hartman and a conditional 1st. If Chicago makes it to the conference finals it becomes a 1st, if not it is a 2nd.

What do you think?

Your nuking futs if you think the leafs would accept that proposal.

2.) 22 Jan 2016 23:06:57
As a toronto fan I would not take that deal. Bickel has no value and cap is bad too.

3.) 23 Jan 2016 01:20:32
Not enough quality coming back for JVR. Won't chirp you too much it's pretty good for a first post. Some people on this site have posted hundreds of times and haven't shown as much potential as you.

4.) 23 Jan 2016 01:39:45
Take Bickel out and make the 1st unconditional and you're getting closer. Leafs want young talent and their going to be in a contract number situation soon so they can't kept taking on dead weight.

5.) 23 Jan 2016 02:49:04
Dano was the main piece of the Saad trade.
Bickel is for cap space.
I think it's a decent trade.

6.) 23 Jan 2016 03:58:28
That's fair, dano has already showed he can be a top 6 fwd if he continues his upside, Hartman is going to be a good two way player, plus the 1st maybe over payment. Bickell is way overpaid but easy a bottom 6 on almost any team but only next year and one after that, Toronto not going to be a contender for at least that long. Dano and Hartman could both be good players but taking bickells bad contract is worth the 1st.
