Calgary Flames: Dennis Wideman, fourth round pick
Toronto Maple Leafs: Milan Michalek

Gives Calgary another desperately needed winger.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Frolik
Michalek - Bennett - Brouwer
Shinkaruk - Backlund - Chiasson
Ferland - Stajan - Vey

Fits in well with their top 6 if not being put on the 3rd being replaced by shinky.

Officer Brob

1.) 22 Sep 2016 09:53:51
Why tho
You think Michalek is a second line Left winger, capable of playing with Bennett?

2.) 22 Sep 2016 11:32:18
Michalek may end up the 1st or 2nd line winger for the leafs but he's not capable of either anymore.

3.) 22 Sep 2016 15:53:58
Leafs are equal to if not better than the flames are you

Mathews => Johnny hockey
Reilly > giordano
Gardner = Brodie
Jvr = Monahan
Andersen > Elliott
Marner > tkachuk
Nylander = bennet
Kadri > backlund.

4.) 22 Sep 2016 17:04:16
Lol that must be a joke. Really, for right now, it should look like this as long as contracts aren't being taken into consideration
Gaudreau > Matthews
Giordano > Rielly
Brodie >> Gardiner
Monahan > JVR
Elliot > Andersen
Marner > Tkachuk
Bennett > Nylander
Kadri => Backlund
Until proven otherwise.

5.) 22 Sep 2016 17:07:58
hahaha
matthews has nothing proven yet and at this moment gaudreau is better than your first choice this year.

gardiner is far far away from equal to brodie, there are not even at the same level.

6.) 22 Sep 2016 17:43:39
Ohh wow. No bias there^.

7.) 22 Sep 2016 19:38:45
Atta boy devs.

8.) 22 Sep 2016 22:07:38
Agree with Devs besides the Kadri Assesment he's a lot better then Backlund and Andersson and Eliott are close.

9.) 22 Sep 2016 23:38:46
Hahahaha. Someone overvaluing Leafs players there. Mclarty. Wow!

10.) 23 Sep 2016 02:20:17
Most of those comparisons are so wrong if you're talking how good they are today. But in a trade value conversation:

I wouldn't trade away Matthews to get johnny hockey
Or Andersen to get Elliot. And in both trade value and today's game, I'll take kadri over backlund 10 times out of 10.
Wouldn't trade marner for tkachuk although both will probably be very good players. And nylander and Bennett are close. I think Bennett is the safer pick, he has fall back options if he isn't an elite scorer at this level, he will have a spot doing lots of other good things. Nylander has a better chance of being an offensive star but also a chance of not putting it all together and would have a lot harder time adjusting his game to play a different role.

St Louis Blues: Robby Fabbri
Vancouver Canucks: Jake Virtanen.

Officer Brob

1.) 21 Sep 2016 08:11:47
virtanen > fabbri. sorry. st louis adds.

2.) 21 Sep 2016 12:03:49
I'd say Fabbri > Virtanen.

3.) 21 Sep 2016 13:48:02
Small skilled centre vs. Large power winger. I believe Vancouver has enough centres right now.

4.) 21 Sep 2016 14:19:19
Both are different players. Hard to compare when they have such different playing styles. But if I had to take one I'd have Virtanen. Huge power forward, great shot, lots of speed and does have nice hands. Fabbri is more skilled, no knock on him, just in my own opinion I would rather have Virtanen.

5.) 21 Sep 2016 14:54:08
Well if we're comparing potential, then Virtanen is the one who is suppose to be the better player. Drafted higher, big power forward with great offensive skills. But if we're saying who was the better player last year, then Fabbri was miles ahead of Virtanen. Neither really got into a top-6 role, but Virtanen was given many more chances the Fabbri to play on the top lines. Plus Fabbri was great in the playoffs. We'll see who turns out to be the better player. Imo I bet on Fabbri being better, but as of now both teams say no.

6.) 21 Sep 2016 15:15:03
no THANKS

Robby made a great blues team as a 19 year old rookie

Scored in 72g 18goals 19assist reg season and scored in 20 playoff games 4 goals 11 assist. All of this as an undersized rookie.

What has Virtenan done. by the way he is 6'1" 200lbs were robby is 5'10 180.

Virtanen played 55g 7g 6a 13 points that's it.

Once again it goes to show you all don't know what your talking about

Robby is untouchable as a blues core player. Def wouldn't trade him for that guy LOL.

7.) 21 Sep 2016 16:46:38
using the stats of two rookies who are in different stages of development and played on very different teams as the entire base of your argument shows that you know nothing about what you're talking about, Tankie.

8.) 21 Sep 2016 17:46:17
Virtanen was on a bottom team and Fabbri was on a "very good" team like you said. You can't compare them by stats that it's not fair to do that. Virtanen has higher ceiling, but Fabbri is still a good player. Just I expect Virtanen to be better.

9.) 21 Sep 2016 17:46:56
Shankar

I know plenty i have watched Fabbri since we drafted him. He is amazing. What he did as a rookie in the playoffs is amazing. Virtanen just hasn't proved his worth. But i'm sure just like yak draft postion not actual play will determine his value.

I live in the show me state bra you have to prove your as good as you say not just say your good.

10.) 21 Sep 2016 17:52:30
When it comes to blues players being undersized is a positive?

11.) 21 Sep 2016 18:09:48
so, 30 something points in essentially a full season proves you're great?

i guess most forwards who play a full season on any team's top three lines is an absolute phenom.

12.) 21 Sep 2016 20:12:05
for a rookie year I think that's amazing on top of that he had 15pts in 20 playoff games/ and robby fabbri had 37 points. He performed better than yak but I guess yak is the better player too.

13.) 21 Sep 2016 20:31:15
Virtanen played on the 4th line for 80% of the year and was scratched for the start of the season most nights. I'm not sure if you guys saw his last couple games when he was with Horvat but I'd like to see what he does next year. I really like Fabbri and he will be a great player, already is super skilled and talented but I'd rather hold onto Virtanen over Fabbri and see what he turns out as. Virtanens floor is still a 4th line forward imo, and that's worst case scenario. Fabbri will be a top 6 or career AHL (although all signs point to top 6 right now)

14.) 21 Sep 2016 20:58:37
where did i mention yakupov? I think he's nearly as useless as you, since you brought him up.

Again, sure 37 points is alright for a roopkie, but it's far from being production you'd expect from a top 6 player and it's not even near the top end of rookie production in the league.

You like stats, there's some for you to look into if you wish. But i'm sure you'll just pull some useless thing like "hero charts" out of your rear end and hope to use them to prove something which is impossible to prove if you look at the whole picture rather than the brush stroke in the top left corner that wasn't done as well as the rest.

15.) 21 Sep 2016 21:56:13
If stats are everything Yak with 31 points in 48 games in his rookie season is better than Fabbri I guess.

16.) 22 Sep 2016 00:16:14
Hahaha I was going to say that too Ebs.

17.) 22 Sep 2016 00:28:24
This proposal is reminiscent of Vancouver trading away Cam Neely.

18.) 22 Sep 2016 01:47:46
It's hilarious how quickly you edm fans chose draft position ovee actual production
Shanker how many rookies produced .75 pts per game in the playoffs getting third line minutes. 15 pts 20 games

Also robby put up those numbers as a third liner in reg season. But rather than argue let's just see how they end up at the end of this year. I will bring it back up around January and then again in April.

19.) 22 Sep 2016 04:12:08
How did us Oil fans bring up draft position? I literally just put stats to show how Yak is better (I don't actually believe he is) .

20.) 22 Sep 2016 05:10:24
20 playoff games proves nothing. seriously, anyone can get hot for a month or six weeks.

Also, don't bother bringing it up on either of those dates. I'm not judging a pair of 20-year-olds on a season and a half to two seasons of play. Anyone who does (read: you, Tankie) is totally ridiculous and possesses an opinion worth nothing.

21.) 22 Sep 2016 18:24:07
That's why I said I will bring it backup later on in the season and in playoffs.

SHanks you relly need to watch this kid play than just talk smack because he is a blues player i'm talking about. But know you. you wont. /.

22.) 27 Oct 2016 05:02:28
Colt55, you talk about fabbri like he is in the same level as Mackinnon. Have you watched Virtanen play more than 1 game? I personally believe that Fabbri is better than Virtanen right now, however if you watch him play you'd see why some people think he'll be better.

21 Sep 2016 07:50:32
ST Louis Blues: Colton Parayko
Edmonton Oilers: Nail Yakupov, Griffin Reinhart, second round pick in 2018.

Officer Brob

1.) 21 Sep 2016 08:12:11
maybe take out reinhart.

2.) 21 Sep 2016 11:13:16
Not enough value from Oilers, no need or reason for the Blues to make this deal.

3.) 21 Sep 2016 14:19:45
No from St. Louis.

4.) 21 Sep 2016 15:08:04
Just like BJ said no reason for the Blues to make this trade.

5.) 21 Sep 2016 15:25:36
once again no dice. Colt is on ELC. Blues expect he will further develop and possibly into cornerstone dman. so no dice.

6.) 21 Sep 2016 15:29:55
It will take a lot to get Parayko. None of the Oiler players listed would even get the conversation started.

7.) 21 Sep 2016 17:48:10
Im glad people are starting to see his value. All these noobs on this board are hilarious yak and reinhart lol.

8.) 21 Sep 2016 22:21:51
Blues add. Maybe Fabbri.

9.) 22 Sep 2016 03:43:37
Oils add Nurse and Eberle.

10.) 22 Sep 2016 18:25:05
BLues say no thanks to PC and ask him to lose their number.

21 Sep 2016 06:39:56
Hey everyone I'm new to this site but I've seen the posts and know how this stuff works now so I'm going to post my first trade haha don't laugh or make fun of me. Haven't done this before. I'm gunna make this as even as possible.

New York Islanders: Zack Boychuk
Edmonton Oilers: Nail Yakupov, Brandon Davidson, Sixth Round Pick in 2017.

Officer Brob

1.) 21 Sep 2016 06:49:20
Lmao Zach Boychuck was an AHL player last year on Bakersfield Condors. Or you mean Johnny Boychuck?

2.) 21 Sep 2016 07:34:40
Johnny Boychuk sorry about that

3.) 21 Sep 2016 08:12:27
i like it.

4.) 21 Sep 2016 14:57:26
You'll need more value for Johnny Boychuk. But honestly the Oilers will probably go out and look for a different d-man because they have a lot of d-men similar to boychuk. Which are 25-35 point d-men. They need a real offensive producer from the blue line.

5.) 21 Sep 2016 15:26:58
Kaner 88 you would lol .

6.) 21 Sep 2016 15:31:01
Islanders need Boychuk. No from the Isles.

7.) 21 Sep 2016 17:47:31
No from both teams, and considering Boychuck didn't even wanna come to Edmonton is another reason why Oilers say no. He fits very well in NY.

8.) 21 Sep 2016 20:33:05
Looking ahead to the future, I would not want anything to do with Boychuk and his contract. He's great right now but is getting up there and is still making 5.5 Mil for the next 7 years I think. I'm not saying I wouldn't want him on my team but with his style of play I'd imagine there is a lot of wear and tear and his body.

9.) 21 Sep 2016 21:53:31
And lol @Colts comment. No doubt.

Who would you rather have for your top 4, 1st line and goalie?

Gaudreau - McDavid - Matthews

Oliver Ekman-Larsson - Aaron Ekblad
Seth Jones - Roman Josi

Bishop

- or -

Hall - Duchene - Tarasenko

Tyson Barrie - Alex Pietrangelo
Colton Parayko - Morgan Rielly

Holtby.

Officer Brob

1.) 21 Sep 2016 08:09:35
The first team, Johny. G, MacD, Mayhews, OEL, Ekblad, Seth, Josi.
Actually a super easy decision. The 4 D are wayyyy better than the other D.

2.) 21 Sep 2016 11:15:16
Very easily the 1st team. Swap the forwards and D and it'd be closer. The 1st team has a better top line and a much better top 4. I'll give the 2nd team the slight edge in goal though.

3.) 21 Sep 2016 12:21:06
Ways Drew Doughty :/.

4.) 21 Sep 2016 15:09:31
Easily 1st.

5.) 21 Sep 2016 17:57:29
Switch OEL and Barrie and I might take the 2nd.

6.) 21 Sep 2016 22:17:08
Lol colt will say number 2.

7.) 22 Sep 2016 09:16:18
Prolly the point ^^ lol wouldn't doubt it

Krejci is super underrated. Ellis doesn't have the same value as Buff and Burns. Your posts don't really give me much to think about but keep at them. Think more realistic and they should turn out to be controversial
