Canucks marner and zaitsev
Leafs boeser, tanev, 2019 2nd and 2020 2nd
Boeser and marner has similar point production there first two years in the nhl. Mariners 3 rd year was great at 97 points but he's asking for 12.5 million per season. Not sure how the leafs can afford that plus put a decent roster together. Is this too much or not enough?

They trade Zaitsev, Horton and Marleau that brings the leafs cap to 27.55 million the leafs can then sign Marner to 12.5 mil for 8 seasons. Kappanen to 7.5 million for 8 seasons and Johnsson to 7.5 million for 8 seasons how is 7.5 million peanuts?

Yes vbbb if they trade those 3 players without retaining any salary or taking any back in the trade then yes your numbers are close but this is real life not Xbox. Plus even then they have to get a couple more guys under contract to reach the minimum amount and really what does that defence look like then? Even if sandin and lillgren are ready it's still awful.

I like the value of the trade here, as hall and severson would be cheaper in the coming season than trouba and laine. Getting the older winger isn't too bad as he's going to the win now team.
Laine is not worth Hughes. Hughes unproven on an elc is worth more than laine at his 10 million to the devils right now.

I give Benninh an A+ made a great tactically decision in out Cracknell on waivers. As a long One Canucks fan I must say this, looking back at our team 3 years ago we had no you didn't prospects now since Benning took over we got Horvat (already was there), McCann, Virtanen, Boeser, Themko, Hutton. Idk not defending Benning but he has done some good although most is through drafting and has made some interesting moves.

What about the kesler trade, moving Garrison out, acquiring Brandon Sutter, resigning Tanev, keeping Markstrom, acquiring younger players like Baertschi, Pedan and granlund (I'm one of the few people probably that actually liked that trade) . Do what if he didn't trade Hamhuis, he's better off staying here and help groom the next core of canucks players rather than trade him for Jokipakka (who looks like another depth defensman (which vancouver already had enough of) ) Brett pollock (who's a 60 PTS guy in the WHL) and a conditional pick that might or might not turn into something.

Oops it’s a 2020 unprotected 1st.
The sedins are great guys and good for the city of vancouver but the canucks have to make a desision now. They can't compete with the top teams. The sedins would make a good second line for a team making a playoff push but at 14 million combined it might be hard for a team to stay under the cap. I think vancouver should trade the sedins, vrbata, higgins, Richardson, Stanton, edler, and lack. not sure if they can trade miller. I think keeping hamhuis and bieksa would be good leadership for the young kids. In my opinion it's time to rebuild
