Vancouver aquires: Chris Stewart
Buffalo aquires: Conditional 3rd*
*If Van makes it to the 3rd round it becomes a 2nd round pick.
Gives Van a big winger who can be physical vs the west.
Gives Buffalo another draft pick.
Fills both teams needs. If unbelievable please post why.
1.) Multiple sources say Murray wants a 2nd and a B prospect for Stewart. Do I think he'll get that. No but I'm sure he'll get more than a late 3rd. The only real way I see Stewart being dealt is if he is packaged with a pick and/or a prospect. Murray is done with acquiring picks and is ready to ice a legit NHL team next season
2.) Conditional 3rd is pretty low-brow. Buffalo will get better than that, even if it's not what they're asking.
3.) @sabres14 and Chirp, YUP!

What would make Washington a real threat? Deeper down the middle:
To Washington: Bozak
To Toronto: 1st round pick, 5th round pick
Helps Toronto in tanking this season and get a 1st round pick
Gives Washington a good #2 centre, he will be behind Backstrom so he won't have as much pressure, also a very good 2nd pp centre. This would also give us a nice right handed centre to compliment Backstrom
If unbelievable post why so I can improve this.
1.) Bo is a 3rd line center on most teams
2.) Bozak is not the 2C the Caps need. In fact, without Kessel and JVR I don't think he's a good 2C at all. He's also not worth a 1st and certainly not more.

hes a 3c on a cup contender; on most teams he's a 2c, as he would be on washington behind backstrom.
4.) @Linds, he might be, but Washington lacks centre depth so he would be a nice fit. We don't have the recourses to go out and get a Kesler or Krijci or that "perfect #2".
5.) I really hope the caps won't trade their first for Bozak.
6.) Bozak will get you a 2nd + a low level prospect
7.) Bozak's value will be as a 2C if he is traded. He's clearly a 3C on a team with 2 better centers (CHI, PIT, LAK, SJS, ANA etc.). But I doubt a team trading for Bozak is trading for him to be a 3C.
As for the trade, I would be more inclined to agree if the pick was conditional on Washington making the conference finals or some sort of similar condition.

If all these Toronto players are worth a first round pick would Toronto not be in a playoff spot instead of trying to catch Buffalo

I can't even begin to tell you how wrong that is.
10.) Bozak would be a nice fit in Washington, easily their #2 center. However, there is no way he brings back a 1st & 5th. I'd say a 2nd is fair. He would be 3rd line on many teams but not Washington. He is great on the face offs and a good penalty killer too.

1.) Not even close. Canucks add big time.
2.) Meh. Wouldn't say the Canucks add 'big time', but the value is defenitly off

Washonton aquires: Tomas Tatar
Detroit aquires: Mike Green and a conditional 4th round pick.(becomes 3rd if Wahonton makes the confrence finals in the playoffs.)
The only reason there is a conditional pick is because Mike Greens contract isn't too good. I don't see Washonton retaining any salary in any trade because of the Orpik and Niskanen signings.
