Vancouver trades Alex Burrows + 10% of his contract
to Pitt for Beau Bennett

Lots of Van rumors going around. I'd like to propose some moves they should make to get younger.
to Pitt: Vrbata and Lack
to Van: Beau Bennett and Simon Depres
to NYR: Bieksa and Burrows
to Van: Kreider and Brady Skjei (prospect)
to Det: Higgins and Hansen
to Van: Tatar
1.) Neither of those are happening
2.) Vrbata has been great, shouldn't move him.
Rangers trade is decent I guess
But there is no way you get one of Detroit's best young players for that package.
3.) Not even close for the DET trade. And bieska and burrows both have full no trade clause.
4.) Why do pittsburgh need Lack?
5.) I wouldn't touch Vancouvers lines. Honestly, they are doing good. 13 in the nhl. Wouldn't touch anything. Possibly trade Burrows for a bigger scoring threat.
6.) PIT will keep Benett & does need Lack.
NYR will not trade Skjei for Bieksa & Burrows.
DET is looking for R-D not forwards.

Van has good depth on D and is doing fine with their call-ups. The organization has done well developing their players especially in the AHL.
Why not have Vancouver also get in their time machine and add Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Orr and Gordie Howe in their prime? because that sure isn't overpayment by Van. no, not at all. Don't even consider Skinner's head injuries and reduced production.
Van says nope. Our organization is filled with Sutter types. Pass.
Van passes on all three of those proposals. What a bunch of garbage.
