More pieces doesn't change the fact that there isn't 1 good young D in the package when avs want 2 in a deal for duchene. I honestly believe habs chances of getting duchene or any other player as good as him disappeared when they traded sergachev. He was their most valuable piece and a position almost every team trading good forwards wants back.

Sorry Ryder. There is nothing there that Sakic wants. I think it may have been Yup who said in an earlier post, now that Sergachev is gone, there is no trade tk be had for Duchene from a Habs standpoint.

WHY DUCHENE? HE has all of Galchenyuk failts, and not as good offensively you are not fixing the c1 problem, there are other centerman out there besides Duchene.

Greg, Duchene doesn't have galchenyuk offense capabilities? Galchenyuks bestvyear is 56 pts in 82 games. Duchene did 55 in 81 as an 18 year old rookie. Since then he's had 67 pts in 80, 43 in 47 in short seasons and 70 in 71 games. Duchene is far better at both ends of the rink which is why he makes power house team Canada Olympics and galchenyuk isn't even considered in the same league as the guys making USA.

if duchene was all that and a ball of wax, why? has colorado been trying two trade him for two year, and he is still on the market unbiased jim, and any team looking at him are going to use him as a winger, so he is not better then galchenyuk, and he will cost the habs more, chucky will score 30 + GOAL a year, no no no to duchene ps pacioretty never played for the usa u18/ u20 iihf either.
