Ottawa senators quick rebuild in two pretty big trades and a signing
1) bobby ryan , Craig Anderson
Andre burakovsky and mike green
2). Patrick wiercoch second rp 15 ( ottawa ) , mike Hoffman

Very far fetched but thoughts??
1.) Not a rebuild the team is still rubbish and you added age to the team.
2.) If Turris or lazar can show they r capable of no 1 centre then it is a decent team
3.) I like the Stewart signing.his size/grit/skill would be a good fit.
if Stewart/green have good years. I think this might be more than melnyk will spend
4.) . Sign Chris Steward.? He plays on Buffalo.
5.) He's Ufa at the end of the year

Alright hear me out , don't at all know how much a guy like burakovsky would cost but I put together this deal along the same lines as the vanek deal
Vanek got Sebastian collberg and a second rp 14 . Colberg was a early second round pick and proved he was a pretty god hockey player at the world juniors and is around a b-b+ prospect in my eyes .
So how about this?
B ryan for burakovsky ( a prospect )
Ottawa loves swedes and imagine ryan-backstrom-ovechkin as line.
Then Andy to Winnipeg for a second 16 and a third 15
Sens get a great prospect and a couple of picks and with two more key guys gone I think ottawa has legitimate chance at McDavid / eichel
What do you think
1.) Doubt the caps trade Burakovsky and if Reimers only worth a 3rd then there's no way Andy lands that much
2.) Why would the Sens trade a proven 30 goal scorer for someone who has yet to prove himself? Terrible idea. Hop off your GM Mode on NHL 14.

Anderson to Winnipeg for 2nd rounder 2016
1.) From a sens fan, I feel like that's too much for ryan and gryba
2.) First trade Detroit rejects. However the second I really anderson could fetch more than a second. Maybe this.

I think this is a perfect trade for both teams IMO!
This only happens like mid year maybe earlier

That's an awful trade! Why would Ottawa even do that?
2.) We'll that would give them a first round pick a really good prospect and a solid top 4 dman instead of losing bobby ryan for nothing@nova65, slight overpayment by Pittsburgh IMO. Bobby Ryan will not sign extension with Ottawa, you'll see

Pit is giving up too much for someone who will most likely be a rental

Adds a big body and a scorer.
Could be dangerous.
Making Ryan want to stay.
5.) I like it alot, but at the same time I dont. We get a great goal scorer who would look great next to Crosby or Malkin and a young NHL dman. But we give up our best all around dman in the process. At the end of the day I think I would take it though.

Lecavalier for Ward? How about u turn on your brain before posting? Philly already has huge cap trouble, so they sure won't go for Ward who makes between 6 and 7 I think.
Btw, Mason is their starter and Emery a capable backup, so there isn't even a need.

Sens make some noise and make one more significant trade which will help a ton
Murray says they are not rebuilding and fighting for a playoff spot

Tbh I think your team is too bad as that Marleau would consider going there.
Not bashing OTT, I like the Sens, but FA really didn't go too well for u guys
2.) Ottawa should under no circumstance be trading youth for an aging star. They aren't winning the cup anytime soon and even making the playoffs is a stretch. This coming from a fan.
3.) FA never goes well for ottawa excuse ownership has a very tight internal cap. Murray talks to players and gets close to a deal but then another team will offer that player 1-3 million more then what ottawa can and what they want too. Sometimes the best FA deals are the ones not made.

Legwand to the sens! I think this a pretty great signing . He can teach the kids how to be a true two way player
1.) 2 years 3m/year yea very good signing especially if players develop nicely then next year he could be traded as rental or kept on.
Instead I'd do backstrom + green for malkin + dupuis
Isles chose to give their first to buffalo this year so they don't have one
Ummm are you kidding me this offseason has to be the worst I've ever seen
I think a couple a guys have great years but I agree I think hodgson will have fairly good year

And finally I think RNH stays healthy and has a tremendous year
Apparently ottawa has interest in Neal but idk what they'd give for him
